ESPN’s flagship debate show, First Take, reportedly will add another big name to its lineup following the recent addition of Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe.
ESPN newcomer Pat McAfee will appear Tuesdays on First Take, starting Sept. 12, alongside Stephen A. Smith, Sharpe and host Molly Qerim for the remainder of 2023, according to Front Office Sports.

Detroit used a daring fake punt and a TD pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown to jump on top of the reigning champs, but Patrick Mahomes answered with a TD drive of his own.
Mahomes spent his rookie season in 2017 as a backup to Alex Smith, but his teammates and coaches knew he was a budding star.

The New York Giants needed to upgrade their wide receiver room this offseason. Other than CeeDee Lamb, the Dallas Cowboys lack another high-end option on the outside. Same goes for the Detroit Lions after Amon-Ra St. Brown. But none of those teams thought DeAndre Hopkins was the answer.
Hopkins ultimately signed with the Tennessee Titans on a two-year deal worth $26 million. The way the deal is structured, though, Hopkins only counts around $3.5 million against the salary cap this season.
Yes, $26 million is a large investment in a 31-year-old wide receiver.

The Chiefs open the season Thursday night against the Lions, but they will be missing a key piece on defense as Chris Jones remains away from the team. The defensive lineman is entering the final year of his contract and wants a new deal, yet the two sides have not yet come to an agreement.
As a result, Jones is expected to skip Kansas City’s Week 1 game, which will cost him. Jones is currently contracted to earn $19.5 million in salary this season, meaning he will lose $1.083 million per week during the regular season as long as he’s absent from the team.
