The Atlanta Falcons went into the 2025 NFL draft with a clear goal to upgrade their defense. Four of the team’s five draft picks were used on defensive players, including both first-round selections. Next season, the Falcons could have as many as three rookies starters on defense.
Offensively, the team returns 10 of 11 starters from last season. Center Drew Dalman signed with the Chicago Bears in free agency, leaving the job to former undrafted free agent Ryan Neuzil.

Despite Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham having a no-visit policy for commits, Scott was in Lincoln last weekend for an official visit. Today, he announced his flip and verbal commitment to Nebraska.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft openly admitted that the team needs to change after back-to-back regular season finishes with a 4-13 record.
He even went as far as calling the last two years the worst years in his 31 years of ownership over the Patriots. Bill Belichick was in his final year as head coach when the team fell off a cliff in 2023. Then Jerod Mayo, a first-year head coach, was brought in and expected to clean up the mess.
Things didn’t turn out well for him.
It’s Friday, June 27, and the Phillies (47-34) are in Atlanta to take on the Braves (37-43). Mick Abel is slated to take the mound for Philadelphia against Bryce Elder for Atlanta.
The Phillies are coming off a series sweep against the Houston Astros. They only scored one run in the three-game series.
The Braves also struggled to score last night against the New York Mets. They were shut out and only had three hits last night.
