Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is still shaken after a duel with Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala, which caused a major injury to the Bavarian player.
“I’m very shocked by what happened, it was certainly not my intention to injure Musiala,” Donnarumma told the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper on Monday.

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Ricky Hatton, the 46-year-old former two-weight world champion, will return to the ring to fight in the United Arab Emirates in December, 13 years after he retired.
The Manchester native, who turns 47 in October, will face Eisa Al Dah in Dubai on Dec. 2, it has been announced.
Hatton (45-3) has not fought since losing in his last comeback bout to Vyacheslav Senchenko in November 2012.
“Fight! Fight! Fight! It’s official,” Hatton posted on X.

The Washington Commanders haven’t been very good in the 21st century. You can blame former owner Daniel Snyder for much of that ineptitude. Fortunately, Snyder sold the team in July 2023 to a group led by Josh Harris. In only his second season as owner, Harris had the Commanders in the NFC championship game after a 12-5 regular season. It was the franchise’s best season in 33 years.
It helps, of course, to have a franchise quarterback.

SILVERSTONE, England (AP) — Sauber celebrated a rare podium finish with Champagne donated by its Formula 1 rivals. After all, this wasn’t meant to be its year.
Mercedes sent over a staffer to Sauber bearing bottles of Champagne and a message of congratulations after Nico Hülkenberg’s surprise third place at the British Grand Prix on Sunday. It was his first podium as a driver and the team’s best finish in 13 years.
Sauber personnel jumped and sang as the sparkling wine was sprayed around the team’s hospitality site.
