Another portal defender with ties to the Purdue coaching staff is headed to West Lafayette, as former Colorado and Arkansas defensive back Myles Slusher announced his commitment to the Boilermakers late Saturday night.
Slusher was out of football in 2024, but has a wealth of experience at the Power 4 level. The 2021 four-star recruit signed with Arkansas out of high school, where he overlapped with Barry Odom, who was then defensive coordinator of the Razorbacks, as well as Mike Scherer, Kelvin Green and Jake Trump.

Ian Machado Garry survived a very late scare in an otherwise stellar performance against Carlos Prates.
The welterweight fight served as the UFC on ESPN 66 main event at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo., and was mostly in control of Machado Garry (16-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC), who proved to be the more effective striker. Prates (21-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC) didn’t go away quietly, but ended up on the wrong side of unanimous scores (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) from the official judges.

With pick No. 220 overall, New England drafted Missouri tackle Marcus Bryant, who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs in at 320 pounds.

Bryant spent the first four years of his college career at SMU — where he started 29 games — before transferring to Missouri, where he started all 13 games at left tackle in 2024. DENVER (AP) — Colorado captain Gabriel Landeskog scored his first NHL goal in nearly three years in the second period of Game 4 against Dallas on Saturday night.
The crowd erupted soon after Landeskog’s snap shot went into the net. He was quickly greeted by teammates along the boards and hugged by Nathan MacKinnon after he made his way over to the bench. Landeskog’s goal came off an assist from Brock Nelson and gave the Avalanche a 3-0 lead.
It was Landeskog’s first score since June 20, 2022, against Tampa Bay in the Stanley Cup Finals.
