Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell doesn’t mince words when it comes to managing a roster in the current climate.
The Badgers are attempting to rebuild after a string of incredibly disappointing seasons. The worst season in the string was the 2024 season.
Wisconsin finished a pathetic 5-7 and snapped the program’s 22-year bowl streak. Fickell was hired to inject life into the program after Paul Chryst was fired.
That’s not what has happened at all. The team is speeding in the wrong direction, and the runway to fix things is rapidly shortening.

The transfer portal is officially open, and we have an entry from a Spartans defensive back.
Michigan State cornerback DJ Kennard has reportedly entered the transfer portal, according to Ryan O’Bleness of Rivals. Kennard is a redshirt freshman and joined the Spartans as a preferred walk-on in January of last year.

The Athletic’s Dan Brugler has a new seven-round mock draft out this week and first and foremost we applaud his effort. A seven-round mock draft is a daunting task. With the 2025 NFL draft just a week away, let’s break down the Pittsburgh Steelers picks and see what we would do differently.
First round – QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
The one scenario in which we are OK with the Steelers picking Sanders is if he falls all the way to No. 21. Reports are that Sanders’ Top-30 visit with Pittsburgh went great, and the team is high on him.
With the 2025 NFL draft just over one week away, ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Field Yates teamed up for a three-round mock draft that dropped on Tuesday.
Kiper and Yates have the Broncos loading up on offense with their first three picks, adding more weapons for young quarterback Bo Nix ahead of his second season in the NFL.
Kiper has Denver use its first selection (No. 20) on UNC running back Omarion Hampton, who had been a popular choice for the Broncos in mock drafts.
After that, Yates projects LSU tight end Mason Taylor to Denver in the second round (No. 51).
Dominick Reyes has dug himself out of the light heavyweight depths.
Back in 2020, Jon Jones defended his UFC light heavyweight title for the final time. The man up against him was Reyes, who infamously lost a controversial split decision in a fight many believe he should’ve won. That near-miss with greatness was Reyes’ first career loss and spiraled into a seemingly endless losing skid that stretched across four years, with the last three losses coming in brutal knockouts.
