McLaren’s Oscar Piastri takes pole position; George Russell and Kimi Antonelli hit with one-place grid penalties
For the third time in four grands prix, a McLaren will start in pole position this Formula 1 season.
For the second time this year, it is Oscar Piastri who will be up front when the Bahrain Grand Prix begins on Sunday.
While Piastri and teammate Lando Norris were again strongest throughout the week of practice, it was Piastri who took pole position ahead of George Russell.

KNOXVILLE – Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel got off the bus, preparing to walk towards Neyland Stadium surrounded by Tennessee fans cheering on the football team, trying to embrace a different type of noise that has engulfed the Vols program over the past 48 hours, as news about Nico Iamaleava’s exit was made public.

At times this season, I thought the Columbus Blue Jackets were going to sneak their way into the postseason after some very strong stretches in what has been a very emotional year for the team.
With just a few games left, the Jackets still have an outside shot of making it into the Stanley Cup Playoffs if they essentially win out and get some help from those around them.
On the bright side for fans, they’re still playing hard, as evidenced by an unbelievable shift that Columbus forward Adam Fantilli had on Saturday against the Washington Capitals.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida coach Todd Golden already has a spot picked out for the Final Four net he cut down in San Antonio.
On Saturday, though, it felt right at home around his neck.
Golden and the Gators were revered in another national championship celebration, this one in front of nearly 60,000 fans at Florida Field during an extended halftime of the annual football spring game. The hoops team has one more get-together on tap: at the White House, presumably this summer.
“It’s just absurd,” Golden said. “Today was awesome.
