Former LSU receiver and 2025 draft prospect Kyren Lacy died last weekend, by suicide. The incident happened on the weekend before a grand jury was scheduled to hear evidence regarding a December 2024 automobile accident that had Lacy accused of hit and run and negligent homicide in connection with the death of 78-year-old Herman Hall.
On Friday, agent Rocky Arceneaux issued a statement regarding the situation.
“I’ve been processing this loss in private with Kyren’s family and loved ones and with their permission, I would like to share the following,” Arceneaux said.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Two-time All-Star Ja Morant promised a sprained right ankle wouldn’t keep him out of Memphis’ play-in game against Dallas with the Western Conference’s last postseason berth up for grabs Friday night.

NEW YORK — Francisco Lindor homered off Ryan Fernandez leading off the ninth inning, and the New York Mets survived a late blown lead to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-4 on Friday night.
Brendan Donovan had homered off Huascar Brazobán (1-0) starting the the top of the ninth, tying it at 4 with a drive off the netting of the right field foul pole.
Lindor drove a cutter on the third pitch from Fernandez (0-2) into the right field second deck for his 250th homer and his first walk-off homer with the Mets.

ESPN reports that the Seahawks are open to trading Howell, and that the Seahawks have been “receiving inquiries” from interested teams.
The Seahawks currently have four quarterbacks under contract — Sam Darnold, Lock, Howell, and Jaren Hall. Lock recently signed with Seattle.
Howell, who arrived in a trade last year with the Commanders, enters the fourth year of his rookie deal. He was a fifth-round pick out of North Carolina in 2022.
