Florida softball added right-handed pitcher Allison Sparkman from the transfer portal on Friday.
Sparkman ranked 28th in the nation with a 1.18 ERA as a freshman and was a unanimous ASUN All-Freshman in 2024. As a sophomore, she held an 18-12 record and a 2.35 ERA through 169 2/3 innings pitched, throwing 45% of Florida Gulf Coast’s total innings in 2025. Her lifetime ERA is 2.09 over 274 innings, and opposing batters are hitting .219 against her.
“We’re really excited to add Allison Sparkman to our program.” Florida softball coach Tim Walton said.
After a surging 2024-2025 season, the Detroit Pistons are adding to their squad, signing veteran guard Caris LeVert to a short-term deal. LeVert has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $29 million deal with Detroit, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The 30-year-old guard was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in February in a trade that sent De’Andre Hunter to the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeVert’s two-year deal with Cleveland expired this offseason, leading him to sign with the Pistons as a free agent.
The Boston Celtics just got a bit thinner in their frontcourt rotation, as ESPN senior reporter Shams Charania relates that backup Boston big man Luke Kornet has agreed to sign with the San Antonio Spurs in the opening hours of the NBA’s 2025 free agency period.
Per Charania, “Kornet has agreed to a four-year, $41 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs,” who he describes as a key frontcourt addition for San Antonio made possible by Kornet’s agent Max Wiepking of Gersh Sports.
After 10 seasons in the Bay Area, the Kevon Looney era has reportedly come to an end with the Golden State Warriors.
The first domino to fall for the Warriors at the start of free agency is the exit of longtime center Kevon Looney. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the veteran center is leaving Golden State to sign a two-year, $16 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Ex-Green Bay Packers lineman David Bakhtiari is nursing a bruised ego after being snubbed from pal Aaron Rodgers’ wedding guest list.
Over the weekend, Packers quarterback Jordan Love got married, and congratulations poured in, including from Bakhtiari.
In his message, Bakhtiari thanked Love for the wedding invite, which he never received from Rodgers, who shockingly revealed earlier this year that he had recently married, without telling a soul.
“Love is love. Congrats to the Loves.
