The Tar Heels announced Wednesday that Belichick has been hired as the program’s next football coach after Mack Brown was fired.
He’s joining the team on a contract worth $50 million over five years. Now, he’ll go from winning Super Bowls to competing in the ACC.

Steve Kerr was furious about the “unconscionable” foul call on the Warriors that gave the Rockets the win.
The Golden State Warriors had a six-point lead over the Houston Rockets with 1:30 left in regulation during their quarterfinals matchup in the NBA Cup on Wednesday night. The Rockets stormed back to win the game, 91-90, thanks to a controversial loose ball foul on the Warriors in the final seconds that allowed Houston to take the lead.
