When your name is Blades Brown, you’re practically destined to play golf, and the Nashville native has elected to do so at the professional level faster than maybe he himself could have ever imagined.
The 17-year-old announced on Tuesday that he will not be going the college golf route and instead will turn professional and make his pro debut at The American Express in January after receiving a sponsor exemption into the field of the PGA Tour event.

I make it my duty to document heroic acts of Hockey Guy-ness, and we got one on Monday night courtesy of Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman.
The Oilers hosted the Florida Panthers in a rematch of last summer’s instant classic Stanley Cup Final.
About halfway through the second frame, Hyman — who had scored earlier in the period — was in front of the net when OIlers D-man Evan Bouchard unloaded a clap-bomb from between the blue line and the top of the circle.

When it comes to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the Big East reigns supreme. Historically-speaking, of course. But the SEC has a chance to break a Big East record this season, if the (mostly) southeastern schools continue to dominate on the hardwood.
The all-time record is still safe, as the Big East has sent a whopping 355 teams to the NCAA Tournament in its history. That’s 132 more bids than the ACC, the next-highest ranked conference on the list.
The SEC ranks fifth, with 201 all-time bids.

Dan Campbell and his aggressiveness is under fire once again.
Another round of NFL action is in the books, family and friends. This past week was awesome in that it gave us big-time clashes and fights between some of the best teams in the league at the moment. There were controversial moments, distances put between some and others plus plenty of other things that you need to know about.

Squirrel brain, anyone?
Jerry Jones is country as hell. On Tuesday the Dallas Cowboys owner was asked about Panthers rookie Xavier Legette telling the world how he loves eating raccoon, and Jones took it a step further by telling an anecdote about how much he loves squirrel brains.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan when asked if he’s ever had raccoon after it was recently mentioned by Panthers WR Xavier Legette: “I’ve eaten a lot of raccoon. The answer is yes. … It’s not uncommon at all.
