Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons will attend the team’s mandatory minicamp next week, but will he be at the start of training camp?
Parsons indicated in a social media post Tuesday night that he will join the team in Oxnard, California, in July only if he has signed a contract extension by then. That was the expectation, with the four-time Pro Bowl still awaiting an extension.

ATLANTA (AP) — Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll each homered twice and the Arizona Diamondbacks snapped a five-game road losing streak with an 8-3 win over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night.
Zac Gallen (4-7), who had struggled with an 8.02 ERA in his last four starts, surrendered just one earned run in seven innings. He gave up four hits, struck out four and retired the first 10 batters of the game.
Marte was 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and two walks and Corbin Carroll was 3 for 4 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Carroll now has 18 home runs on the season.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. returned from the IL with a bang, hitting a go-ahead home run in the Yankees‘ 3-2 win over the Guardians on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.
Chisholm Jr. played his first game since April, starting at third base and delivering two hits.

This will be a key offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers as they continue to chase their 18th NBA championship. It could even be a fork in the road of sorts, as LeBron James is nearing the end of his career and Luka Doncic is nearing the start of his first full season with the team.
In addition to needing a legitimate starting center, the Lakers need to address Doncic’s contract situation. He can opt out of his current contract and become a free agent next summer, and he could have multiple options as far as what he can do moving forward.

Caglianone nearly recorded his first hit of his career in the majors, until Cards center field Victor Scott stepped in.
Scott robbed Caliganone (‘cag-lee-own’) in his first Major League at-bat with an incredible hustle play in the second frame of the contest.
