It’s been nearly a decade since “Rowdy” competed and nearly 17 years since Carano last fought. Both women look to be in incredible shape, but Carano turned 44 last month and Rousey is 39. Although, UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko is 38 and former two-division titleholder Amanda Nunes is 37.

Thousands of cyclists head to Gatehouse for the Gralloch which started just three years ago [Red On Sports]
When thousands of cyclists descend on a small town in the south of Scotland, locals say the town is overrun by athletes in “high end lycra”.
For one weekend a year Gatehouse of Fleet plays host to The Gralloch gravel race, which has become a major attraction since in launched in 2023.
With about 3,000 cyclists expected to compete or try out the routes, they are expected to out-number local people three-to-one.

Steve Kerr is returning to the Golden State Warriors. His top assistants are not.
Terry Stotts and Jerry Stackhouse, the two highest-ranking assistants on Kerr’s staff, are leaving the franchise after two years each in Golden State, according to ESPN’s Anthony Slater. Both men’s contracts reportedly expired after this season.
In both cases, the coaches are reportedly leaving to pursue head coaching opportunities, something that isn’t going to be available with the Warriors after Kerr signed a high-priced, two-year extension with the team.

Home favourite Davide Ballerini won his first Grand Tour stage as he avoided a late crash to win stage six of the Giro d’Italia.
The XDS-Astana rider successfully dodged a late pile-up which took out several of the stage favourites and held off the chasing Jasper Stuyven for victory on the cobbles in Naples.
Stuyven’s teammate Paul Magnier, who has already won two stages of this year’s race, was third. The Frenchman nearly slipped himself as he tried to dodge riders on the ground, but managed to pick up speed again despite nearly coming to a stop and led in the chasing riders.
