If Travis Hunter were still in college, he could play wherever he wanted to play. And he could condition his decision on whether his next team will let him play offense and defense.
But in the sorting-hat ritual of the NFL, Hunter’s pro football position(s) won’t be determined by him. Because he has no way to avoid any team that won’t use him the way he’d like to be used.
Hunter knows it. And he knows he has no real choice, given the power of the ultimate reality show about nothing known as the draft.
The draft.
LSU football was forced to revamp its defensive end room in the transfer portal. With Bradyn Swinson and Sai’Vion Jones off to the NFL and DaShawn Womack transferring to Ole Miss, LSU is losing a lot of production on the edge.
Brian Kelly signed a haul of portal defensive ends, including former Florida defender Jack Pyburn. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Pyburn was the No. 18 ranked defensive end in the class and No. 134 ranked transfer overall.
He brings 500 snaps of SEC experience to LSU’s defense. He notched two sacks and 13 stops with the Gators in 2024.
If the big fish is to stay in college, he will play next year in Ann Arbor.
Yaxel Lendeborg, the 6-foot-9, 240-pound forward who is widely perceived as the top available player in the transfer portal has pledged to go to Michigan basketball, a source with knowledge of the situation but not permitted to speak publicly given it is not yet official, confirmed to the Free Press on Saturday morning.
This person told the Free Press that Lendeborg, ranked No.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — The shortest par 4 at Augusta National is the same distance — all of 350 yards — as it was when the first Masters was held in 1934. There are no water hazards to be found. There is one bunker left of the green.
By modern standards, this would be considered a drivable par 4.
And yet there has been only one change to No. 3 in club history, 42 years ago, when the large bunker left of the fairway was replaced by four smaller ones.
Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse is projected to be the last player selected in the 2025 NFL draft. ESPN’s Matt Miller (subscription required) predicts that Stackhouse will be the No. 257 pick in the draft (seventh-round).
If Stackhouse ends up being drafted No. 257, then he would be Mr. Irrelevant, which is what the final pick in the draft is named. Most players that end up as the final pick in the draft don’t end up having notable NFL careers.

Yaxel Lendeborg committed to Michigan in the transfer portal … if he doesn’t enter the 2025 NBA Draft.
The college basketball transfer portal is already popping, and some early winners are emerging on the men’s side. Louisville added three great perimeter players to go along with incoming five-star recruit Mikel Brown Jr. to potentially emerge as a top-10 team next season. North Carolina hit it big by getting a commitment from former Arizona 7-footer Henri Veesaar.
