Nuggets guard Jamal Murray was unstoppable against the Lakers in Saturday’s Game 3 victory, running up a 37-point tab as Denver extended its series lead to 3–0. Murray has been a key cog for the Nuggets for several years now, but there was a time when he was questioning his future in Denver.
After Game 3 on Saturday, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone shared an eye-opening conversation he had with Murray after he’d missed the entire 2021-22 season with a torn ACL.
Referee Scott Foster was left with a bloody lip after taking an inadvertent hit from LeBron James during Saturday’s Game 3 between the Lakers and Nuggets.
Foster, who appeared to be bleeding from a cut around his mouth, was briefly attended to after the incident in the first half.
When James came up to apologize to the longtime NBA official after the accidental contact, Foster hit him with a hilarious and unexpected joke.
“You’ve been wanting to do that for 25 years,” Foster joked to James while tending to his injury.
There was a very cool moment between Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and a young fan on Saturday.
The Blue Jays were hosting the Baltimore Orioles in what would end up being a 6-5, 10-inning loss. However, there was something bigger than baseball that happened to catch Guerrero’s eye.
There was a young fan sitting behind home plate wearing a Blue Jays Bo Bichette jersey. He held up a sign made out of yellow posterboard that read, “Hey Bo, I beat cancer like you beat the pitcher.
MLB fans’ calls for robot umpires grew a bit louder on Saturday night after a pair of star players were ruled out on controversial third strike decisions. Both Braves’ Ozzie Albies and Dodgers’ Mookie Betts were questionably called out on strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Albies, in a four-run game in the bottom of the ninth, watched a pitch from Mariners’ Paul Sewald that appeared well outside of the zone. That’s not how home plate umpire Edwin Moscoso saw it, however, as he rung up Atlanta’s infielder for a strikeout.

It happened late in the first half of Game 3 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. The Lakers inbounded the ball after a Nuggets basket. However, as LeBron turned to run upcourt he didn’t check to make sure the coast was clear and ran directly into Foster.
