Angel Reese might want to log off the internet for a while.
The Chicago Sky forward, once again, has found herself the center of attention for all the wrong reasons. She went after Caitlin Clark over a common basketball foul last weekend. The game sparked 100% unproven allegations of racism and she followed that up by re-posting a TikTok video about Clark being a “white gyal running from the fade.”
A “fade” is slang for being attacked. Reese apparently finds the idea that she was going to attack Clark pretty entertaining.
Very mature. Very smart.

Kelvin Sampson is clearly happy at Houston, and the feeling is mutual.
The veteran coach has signed a new four-year contract that will run through the 2028-29 season, according to multiple reports.
The new deal will keep Sampson on par with the highest-paid coaches in college basketball, per CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. The terms of the contract weren’t immediately available.
Sampson just wrapped up his 11th season at Houston and the Cougars have been a mainstay among college basketball’s elite for most of his tenure.
We are still months away from the next college basketball season, and with the way things ended for Ohio State, we can’t blame folks for being laser-focused on football instead of looking ahead to basketball. However, there are those whose sole purpose is to project college hoops so we check in from time to time.
One of those folks is ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, who is really the one who popularized the term “bracketology,” which generally means projecting and predicting the NCAA Tournament bracket early and often until things are set.
MEXICO CITY (AP) — Ten of 16 second division teams seeking to reinstate promotion and relegation in Mexico have filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Among the disgruntled is Atlante, a club that was founded in 1918 and has won two league titles but was relegated in 2014.
Since the Mexican Soccer Federation halted promotion in the 2019-2020 season, the Potros de Hierro have won the second division three times.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers may only be 21 years old, but he’s showing signs of putting his stamp on the team both on the field and in the locker room.
As a rookie, Nabers led the team in receptions and injected life into a team that had been D.O.A. the season before. Off the field, Nabers was vocal regarding his usage, wanting the football more even though he was second in the NFL in targets in 2024.
Boring football wins.
After months of back-and-forth arguments and appeals from the Philadelphia Eagles, the NFL is not banning the ‘tush push.’ Football’s most controversial play, it became the Eagles’ most unstoppable offensive weapon, propelling them to postseason success, and every other team is trying to find ways to either emulate it, or stop it.
The final vote on the play took place on Wednesday, with NFL owners failing to get the required 24 votes to ban the play (it only garnered 22).
Collecting dust on the bench through the first two playoff rounds, Kenrich Williams waited for his moment. A new playoff series meant new role players who could be a prime matchup. The 30-year-old was well-rested and had Mark Daigneault look like a genius for going to him.
Williams finished with eight points on 3-of-3 shooting and three rebounds. He shot 2-of-2 from 3. He played 10 minutes off the bench and committed three fouls, but they were a loud 10 minutes.
The Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the second half in their 114-88 Game 1 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Much of the Panthers brilliance is defined by their ability to bend the rules.
The Florida Panthers are dirty. They’re dirty as hell. Not only does the team play dirty, but embrace dirty in a way we haven’t seen in the modern era. In doing so the organization has carved out the perfect niche for postseason hockey, preying on playoff referee leniency to infuriate opponents, rattle inexperienced players, and turn cheering opposing fans apoplectic.

The Indiana Pacers are proving you CAN run in the NBA playoffs.
Tyrese Haliburton walked to the podium in Madison Square Garden about 40 minutes after he and the Indiana Pacers set multiple playoff records. In a Game 7 win against the New York Knicks to conclude the 2024 Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Pacers couldn’t miss – they canned a postseason-best 76.3% of their shots in the first half and a record 67.1% overall in a 130-109 win.
Haliburton had many reasons to smile.
