The New York Jets chose an interesting time to post a video teasing a uniform change for the 2024 NFL season: mere minutes after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
While social media was buzzing in the aftermath of the Chiefs’ riveting 25–22 overtime win, the Jets randomly popped into fans’ timelines with a video promoting the uniform unveiling, which isn’t coming until April.
Jets owner Woody Johnson also posted a video, this one of various Jets players hyping up the new uniforms.

I wasn’t going to do this today, I swear. Honestly, I was watching the Super Bowl last night and at one point thought to myself, ‘You know what? Tony Romo isn’t terrible tonight.’
And then the final 30 seconds happened in overtime – the biggest 30 seconds of the entire NFL season – and Tony Romo found a way to undo everything he’d just done.
You were so close, Tony. All you had to do was put your head down, let Jim Nantz take us all home, and you were gonna be in the clear.
After weeks of beatings, you finally came up clutch and got the job done in crunch time.

In the aftermath of Super Bowl LVIII, Troy Aikman got served on social media for a post of his…from five years ago.
Back in September 2019, a Kansas City Chiefs podcast called “Time’s Ours” (which is affiliated with “The Athletic”) held a discussion in which they were trying to determine how good of a quarterback Patrick Mahomes could be. Remember, at this point in his career, he had yet to win a Super Bowl and had just finished his first full season as a starter.

Travis Kelce emerged from the double doors at 8:39 p.m. PST, nearly an hour after Patrick Mahomes connected with Mecole Hardman Jr. to give the Kansas City Chiefs back-to-back Super Bowl titles.
Kelce noticed NFL Network reporter and former star wideout Steve Smith Sr. The two hugged before Kelce hopped on the back of the cart to head over to the interview podium and discuss his thrilling 25–22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelce finished Sunday night with 92 yards and nine receptions.

Sadly for Troy Aikman, the internet never forgets.
Immediately after Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes beat the San Francisco 49ers to win his third Super Bowl on Sunday night, NFL fans scoured the internet and resurfaced an old post from the ESPN commentator and Dallas Cowboys legend that aged like milk.
In September 2019—during Mahomes’s ascension in the NFL—Aikman saw a post on X, known as Twitter at the time, and had to weight in. Why? The post stated, “Patrick Mahomes has thrown 36% of Troy Aikman’s career touchdowns, in about 8% of the games.

The Chiefs’ game-winning play in Super Bowl LVIII looked quite familiar. Andy Reid saved his best call for last.
For the first time since the 2004 season, the NFL has a repeat champion. The Kansas City Chiefs secured their second straight Super Bowl victory, and third in the last five years, in a 25-22 overtime thriller versus the San Francisco 49ers.
The game literally came down to the last play: with only six seconds remaining in overtime, Kansas City found itself down three points, and three yards from the 49ers end zone.

OK! Now that the fake Big Game is out of the way, let’s strap in, pull those belts tight one more time, and get ready for the real Super Bowl.
Welcome to the 2024 NASCAR season – and welcome to Daytona 500 week.
Best week of the season, and it ain’t close. Is it weird – sad? – that the best NASCAR week of the year is the first one? Sure.
Sort of has that it’s all downhill from here vibe to it, which is unfortunate given that there are 35 weeks left to go.
But whatever – no complaining today.

49ers players said that they did not know that overtime rules are different in the playoffs.
Super Bowl LVIII ended with the Kansas City Chiefs hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for the third time in a five-year span. Patrick Mahomes is inevitable and the Chiefs are officially a dynasty with nowhere to go, amazingly, but up.
Of the three titles that KC has won in this era, two of them have come against the San Francisco 49ers.
