Stop me if you’ve heard this before: LeBron James complained like a toddler about a call.
Late in the fourth quarter of a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Los Angeles Lakers found themselves down 107-104. With just over two seconds on the clock, James caught a pass and nailed a three-pointer to tie the game. The clutch play happened on his 39th birthday no less, so the shot served as a fitting birthday present.
Well, that’s what everyone thought at least.
The referees on the court signaled that James’ foot crossed the line while shooting.

Although the Arizona Cardinals aren’t contending for a spot in the NFC playoff race, it didn’t stop quarterback Kyler Murray from poking fun at the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the team’s matchup on Sunday afternoon.
Murray entered Lincoln Financial Field wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins’ Sidney Crosby sweater. The Penguins’ star, who is considered one of the greatest all-time NHL players, has been the ultimate villain in the rivalry between the Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers on the ice.

NEW ORLEANS – Texas coach Steve Sarkisian has lost 13 games since he became the Longhorns’ coach before the 2021 season.
But there is one he and some of his players remember more than the others.
Alabama 20, Texas 19 … Sept. 10, 2022, in front of 105,213 – the largest crowd in the history of Texas Memorial Stadium that opened in 1924. The 20-point underdog Longhorns led 19-17 with 1:29 to play on a 49-yard field goal by Ben Auburn. Yes, Auburn. It just didn’t feel like Alabama’s day that day.

The excitement behind USC Trojans freshman Bronny James is quickly on the rise—and it has very little to do with the name on the back of his jersey. Bronny, the son of arguably the greatest NBA player in history, LeBron James, is fresh off the best performance of his young collegiate career.
Bronny scored 15 points on 6–of–11 shooting while dishing out three assists with one steal and played some impressive defense beyond the box score.

Meet the four QBs hoping to lead their team to the next college football national championship.
The College Football Playoff is finally upon us, as the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines will face off against the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl, while the No. 2 Washington Huskies will play the No. 3 Texas Longhorns in the AllState Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day for a spot in the National Championship game.
All four teams were conference champions this season and earned the nod over the No.

By now everyone knows that Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are not only very good football players, but they also are very good behind microphones and have one of the biggest sports podcasts in the world.
Their success on the mics comes mostly from their willingness to not shy away from talking about anything and everything during the weekly episodes. Also, their ability to laugh at themselves over things they do both on, and off, the field makes it easy to become fans of theirs.

NASCAR legend Cale Yarborough has died, officials said Sunday. He was 84.
NASCAR chairman Jim France remembered the Hall of Famer in a statement.

“Cale Yarborough was one of the toughest competitors NASCAR has ever seen,” France said, via FOX Sports. “His combination of talent, grit and determination separated Cale from his peers, both on the track and in the record book.
“He was respected and admired by competitors and fans alike and was as comfortable behind the wheel of a tractor as he was behind the wheel of a stock car.

The Detroit Lions lost to the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night after a controversial call took two points off the board in the final seconds that would have given the NFC North champs a huge win on the road.
The ref behind the questionable call was Brad Allen, who knows all too well what it’s like to make costly decisions in NFL games.
Fans were quick to point out a very bad no-call from Allen in the Chicago Bears–Cleveland Browns game just a few weeks ago.

The most talked about play of Saturday night’s Dallas Cowboys’ 20–19 win over the Detroit Lions came in the last 23 seconds.
The Lions thought of a perfect plan, in their eyes, to puzzle the Cowboys during a two-point conversion attempt, which would most likely have won the game. Coach Dan Campbell said he told referees of the play mechanics before they ran it since tackle Taylor Decker would report as an eligible receiver. The referees, though, threw a flag claiming Decker did not report in.
