In his first year at Colorado, coach Deion Sanders took several very tentative steps toward putting the Buffaloes back on a winning track.
He overhauled—to an extent so great it engendered controversy—a 1–11 roster. He weaponized his media-friendly image to make Colorado one of the biggest television draws in sports. And, although a late losing streak hurt a great deal, he helped the Buffaloes quadruple their win total year over year.
It was enough, Sanders hinted Wednesday on Undisputed, to incite programs to sniff around the Colorado coach a bit.

Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were in sync during the AFC championship against the Baltimore Ravens as they led the Chiefs to the organization’s fourth Super Bowl appearance in the last five years.
Mahomes was fired up after he and Kelce linked up for the game’s first touchdown during the first quarter on Sunday, and he didn’t hold back while celebrating the score in the face of the Ravens’ defense.

Patrick Mahomes has given some self-confidence to every dad in the world with one single photo, but he isn’t exactly happy about it.
After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to their second straight Super Bowl appearance with a win over the Baltimore Ravens, ‘Inside The NFL’ was able to get a camera inside the team’s locker room to capture Kansas City’s celebration.

Due to a new rule that was implemented this year, NBA players must play a certain number of games to be eligible for major awards. Just past the halfway point of the seasons, more and more players appear to be coming out against the rule.
First, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton called the rule “stupid,” and he’s not the only one.
Draymond Green criticized the new rule on The Draymond Green Show, saying that it is forcing players to play while injured.

Luka Doncic is without a doubt one of the best players in the NBA. Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd, however, doesn’t think putting Doncic in the group of best active players does the guard enough justice. Kidd thinks he’s among the best players of all time.
Kidd recently joined Dallas radio station 97.1 and boldly proclaimed that Doncic is already the best Maverick of all time while mentioning Dirk Nowitzki by name. He didn’t stop there, he said Doncic needs to be in the conversation with Michael Jordan and other greats.

After the San Francisco 49ers beat the Detroit Lions, 34–31 in the NFC championship to advance to Super Bowl LVIII, standout defensive end Nick Bosa couldn’t help but be overcome with emotion when talking with starting quarterback Brock Purdy in the locker room.
Purdy, who was the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has far exceeded expectations, leading the San Francisco offense admirably since taking over for quarterbacks Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo last season.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been ruled out of Al Nassr’s game against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami due to a muscular injury.
Thursday’s match, which is part of a mini-series called the Riyadh Season Cup, had been billed as the ‘Last Dance’ between two of soccer’s all-time great players.
However, the event will now take place without one of its leading men because Ronaldo has not yet fully recovered from a calf problem.
Al Nassr manager Luis Castro confirmed Ronaldo’s absence on Tuesday.
Castro explained: “We will not see [Messi vs. Ronaldo].

Even three days after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship, a lot of focus is on what happened during warmups between Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs and kicker Justin Tucker of the Ravens.
What was maybe some kind of gamesmanship from Tucker appears to have worked because while Kelce and Mahomes should be focused on the Super Bowl, they are fielding questions about Tucker.
Got ’em.
The two offered their latest comments with Mahomes giving his thoughts on a Kansas City radio show. The Pat McAfee show aired the clip on Wednesday.

Kansas City Chiefs star — and newly-minted pop culture icon — Travis Kelce joined the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN on Wednesday afternoon. Unsurprisingly, the topic of Taylor Swift came up.
Who would’ve thought?
To be fair, it would be journalistic injustice to interview Travis Kelce and not ask about Swift. Their relationship is one of the biggest stories in America right now. Love it or hate it, there is interest.
Travis Kelce joined the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday and the pair discussed the Chiefs star’s relationship with Taylor Swift.

The Miami Heat are in trouble.
There’s no clearer way to state it. At 24–23, the Heat—losers of seven in a row—entered the final day of January in seventh place in the East. Miami is 2½ games behind the Indiana Pacers for sixth, which means for the second season in a row, the Heat are almost assuredly going to have to make the playoffs via the play-in. And with nearly all of its conference rivals making major upgrades in the last few months, Miami may be the furthest it’s been from a championship since Jimmy Butler arrived in the city over four years ago.
