TGL, the new indoor golf league created in part by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, provided an update on its operations.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL league did not get off to a good start—a deflating one, in fact.
But the new league—postponed a year because of a dome collapse—will officially kick off on Jan. 7, 2025, the first Tuesday of the year.
ESPN will televise the league’s first match, which will be held two days after the conclusion of the NFL’s regular season.

Will banning hip-drop tackles in the NFL prevent injuries or just make the game harder for defensive players and officials?
At the NFL owners meetings on Thursday, the NFL banned the hip-drop tackle, despite the objections from the NFL Player’s Association. This style of tackle injured star TE Mark Andrews this season and was a major topic of discussion throughout the year, and now if a player is deemed to have made a hip-drop tackle they’ll receive a 15-yard penalty and the opponent gets an automatic first down.

One of the most unexpected guests made an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” earlier today.
NFL reporter Adam Schefter was reporting from the annual NFL meetings, and was on a FaceTime call with McAfee and his crew. During the conversation, someone walked up to Schefter and shook his hand.
McAfee didn’t know who to expect, but let out a surprised yell once he realized it was Carolina Panthers owner Dave Tepper.
After the owner recognized that he was indeed on his show, Tepper said “McAfee is a big fan of me. He’s almost as good-looking as me, so I understand.

Heck, a 22-year-old senior, will take an internship in private equity and become a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force this summer.
