The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to be among the most active teams this winter after clearing huge amounts of payroll after the 2023 season.
The signature free agent is, naturally American League MVP Shohei Ohtani. Despite the arm surgery that will keep him out as a pitcher for the 2024 season, Ohtani’s bat and future pitching value are so significant that he’s expected to command a record-setting contract.
Unsurprisingly, the Dodgers are interested and according to some sources, favored to roll out the red carpet for him.

Korda has found her game just in time to climb the leaderboard on moving day at the LPGA Tour Championship.
Nelly Korda had climbed into contention Saturday at the LPGA’s CME Group Tour Championship. However, two costly mistakes late in her round pushed her just out of the hunt. She carded a 6-under 66 to sit at 14-under through three days of play.
The former No. 1 player in the world held a ton of momentum throughout the third round. Her biggest surge of confidence came when she made a mind-blowing ace on the par-3 8th.

The stakes were high for No. 10 Louisville on Saturday in its game against Miami.
With a win, the Cardinals would keep their record at 9–1 and secure a spot in the ACC Championship Game against No. 4 Florida State, and in the process, keep their hopes of an outside shot at a College Football Playoff berth alive.
With a loss, Louisville would be out of the Playoff picture and left to wonder what could have been.
The Cardinals played big throughout the game, but saved their best football for last.

Seton Hall men’s basketball head coach Shaheen Holloway made the post game handshake line the most tense part of a game against Wagner.
After his Pirates defeated the Seahawks 72-51, Holloway approached Wagner head coach Donald Copeland for a customary handshake. Most of these brief interactions hold no drama whatsoever and end after 1.5 seconds.
However, the Pirates’ skipper spiced things up by having a word with Copeland. That word turned into a few tense remarks, which turned into an aggressive shove.

Turns out Michigan might not be as good without Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines, at least that’s what today’s game against Maryland looked like. Maybe it’s the Connor Stalions effect, but either way, Michigan looks human.
It’s like that scene out of Rocky IV when Ivan Drago is cut for the first time and Rocky’s strainer tells him, ‘See, he’s not a machine, he’s a man’. A week before a massive showdown with Ohio State, the Wolverines look like a team that is struggling.
Sure, they pulled out the 31-24 win against Maryland, while Jim Harbaugh watched from the team hotel.

The Dolphins will receive a huge boost to their explosive offensive in Week 11 when they host the Raiders at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. Rookie running back De’Von Achane has been activated off the injured reserve by the club, per a report by ESPN Adam Schefter.
Achane was sensational earlier this season, amassing 460 rushing yards and five touchdowns prior to suffering a knee injury against the Giants on Oct. 8.
While averaging an eye-popping 12.

Let’s start at the sharp end of the field. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc is on pole for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix and that’s not a surprise at all.

ESPN’s College Gameday traveled to Harrisonburg, Va. on Saturday ahead of James Madison’s showdown against Appalachian State. It was just the third time in the school’s history that they’ve hosted ESPN’s flagship pregame show.
To celebrate the occasion, one committed Dukes fan decided to ink the day into history, getting a tattoo of Lee Corso’s signature on his leg live during the broadcast.
“I’m honored to get Coach Corso’s autograph tattooed on my leg,” said Doug Wixted, the JMU fan who was getting the new ink.

Seton Hall men’s basketball coach Shaheen Holloway apologized for his outburst directed at Wagner coach Donald Copeland when shaking hands after the Pirates’ 72–51 win.
“I take full responsibility for that,” Holloway said, via Asbury Park Press writer Jerry Carino. “I like Donald. I respect him. He’s a good person, a good player and a good coach.”
As Holloway and Copeland shook hands after the game, the two were caught on camera getting into an argument.
