Michigan alum and Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard believes the Big Ten is treating his alma mater unfairly amid the school’s sign-stealing scandal.
Howard strongly defended the Wolverines program following the report by ESPN’s Heather Dinich that the conference could punish Michigan and coach Jim Harbaugh as soon as Friday afternoon ahead of the NCAA’s investigation timeline.
“The [Big Ten] commissioner is actually treating them unfairly,” Howard told fellow ESPN analyst Greg McElroy on Friday morning’s episode of Get Up! “He’s circumventing due process by the NCAA.

The Big Ten is expected to issue potential disciplinary action toward Michigan regarding sign-stealing accusations against the football program Friday, according to ESPN’s Heather Dinich.
That announcement will be in reply to a 10-page letter sent by coach Jim Harbaugh’s attorney responding to the Big Ten’s allegation that the Wolverines violated the conference’s sportsmanship policy by using in-person scouting to steal signals from upcoming opponents.

Debating Bryce Young’s NFL future with Carolina Panthers.
The Carolina Panthers might have only had one game they could win left on their schedule, and they squandered it. On Thursday Night Football the absolute inability of Carolina was on full display in front of a national audience as the Bears managed to take out the trash.
Bryce Young is a tiny lightning rod for criticism. The Panthers QB is struggling, and it’s time to ask whether or not he has a future in the NFL.
On today’s docket of Football Court: Case No.

The Panthers lost again Thursday night, this time to the Bears, 16-13, falling to an NFL-worst 1-8 record. Carolina’s only touchdown came on a punt return, meaning the offense scored just six points on two field goals against a struggling Chicago defense.
Carolina’s frustration appears to be mounting, as its offense continues to struggle behind quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft. To wit, veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen offered a blunt assessment after the game, calling out the entire offensive group.

Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. Remember when I said last night’s Sharks-Oilers game would be worth watching? San Jose won, and I don’t know how much worse things can get for Edmonton.

Sunday, Fun Day! It’s time to get in your player prop selections for Week 10 at SI Sportsbook. There are four teams on bye this week, but there are still plenty of ways to get in on the action. Here are some of my favorite early values for Sunday’s slate.
Will Levis over 1.5 passing touchdowns (+145)
I’m not just choosing this prop because C.J. Stroud threw five touchdowns vs. this Buccaneers defense, I’m also considering the fact that Levis threw four touchdown passes in his NFL debut two weeks ago vs. the Falcons.

Wisconsin basketball player Gus Yalden’s time in Madison is off to a very rough start.
It was announced at the start of November the former four star recruit and prize of the 2023 Badgers class would be taking a leave of absence from the team. As soon as the news broke, fans started speculating on what could be happening given the fact he wasn’t hurt.
“We are in full support of Gus and will always be here for him and his family. Gus is part of the Wisconsin basketball family and even though he won’t be on the court with us right now, we’ll always do everything we can to help him.

Kirk Herbstreit spends his Saturdays shielding Lee Corso from the online trolls and he now spends his Fridays doing the same for Al Michaels.
Anyone need a good caretaker ahead of the holiday season? I’ve got one for you!
Herbstreit took to Twitter — or X, if you’re still trying to make that stick — Friday morning and called out a couple haters who think Michaels has lost his fastball.
Shockingly, people took issue with Michaels sounding less than thrilled to be calling Thursday’s miserable game between the Bears and Panthers.
