No. 1 seed Houston ventured into the belly of the beast and beat No. 9 seed Auburn in what amounted to a road game for the Cougars two hours from Auburn’s campus. But Houston wore down the Tigers and silenced the capacity crowd of 17,654 at Legacy Arena for an 81-64 win in the second round.
And the Cougars went to 9-0 on the road this season. Just wait until they get back home to Houston, where the Final Four will be April 1-3.

The Astros’ star exited after getting hit by a 96 mph fastball.
José Altuve was removed from Venezuela’s game against the United States in the World Baseball Classic on Saturday after getting hit by a pitch in the hand during the bottom of the fifth inning.
American reliever Daniel Bard lost control of a 96 mph fastball that ran up and in on Altuve, catching him on the hand as he attempted to duck out of harm’s way. 
The Astros’ superstar second baseman was visibly in pain as the medical staff rushed out to tend to his hand.

Don’t expect UFC fighter Colby Covington to get any invites to Buckingham Palace or even a warm reception the next time he walks into a pub.

Covington was in Jolly Old England because UFC 286 took place at London’s O2 Arena.
