Titans cornerback Caleb Farley’s house in Mooresville, N.C., exploded overnight, according to local authorities. Farley’s 61-year-old father, Robert M. Farley, was killed and another undisclosed person was injured in the explosion.
Caleb Farley, 24, was not home at the time of the explosion. He is a native of Maiden, N.C., a little under 25 miles from Mooresville.
Per the office of Kent Greene—Iredell County, N.C.’s director of fire services and emergency management—authorities responded to reports of an explosion that caused a house to collapse overnight.

MLB is investigating hateful social media messages targeted at the 13-year-old nephew of Diamondbacks outfielder Tommy Pham, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports.
“PSA to all fans coming at my nephew on Instagram leave my nephew out of this,” Pham wrote on social media on Monday afternoon. “Your life must suck really bad for you to talk s— to a 13 year old!!!”
Over the weekend, Pham endured an incident with a Padres fan while the Diamondbacks were playing in San Diego.

Alfa Romeo has a clear goal for the rest of the F1 season, and believe they can pull it off
The first half of the 2023 Formula 1 season did not match expectations for Alfa Romeo. The team managed just nine points over the first 11 races of the season, and currently sit in ninth place in the Constructors’ Standings, ahead of only AlphaTauri.
With the second half of the season about to get underway, the team is “eager” to put the first half behind them, and make the most of their points-scoring chances in the remaining races.

Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless co-hosted First Take on ESPN from 2012 to 2016. Bayless departed for FS1 in 2016 to create Undisputed, which airs head-to-head against his former program.
Technically, Smith and Bayless have competed against each other for the past seven years. (Though more for reaction than ratings, given three-to-four times the people watch ESPN than FS1.) But it wasn’t until this summer the two started to compete with each other.

A joint practice between the Colts and Eagles ended early Tuesday after a brawl broke out on the field, with Philadelphia center Jason Kelce and Indianapolis linebacker Zaire Franklin reportedly throwing punches at each other.
Kelce apparently took exception to Franklin’s hitting Eagles running back Kenny Gainwell late on consecutive plays, which led Kelce to push Franklin onto the ground, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Josh Tolentino. Punches were subsequently thrown, and both teams’ benches cleared.

One person died and another was injured when the suburban Charlotte home owned by Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley exploded overnight, according to authorities.
