Mexico midfielder Gilberto Mora put in a stunning performance in his country’s knockout triumph over Ecuador in the World Cup round of 32.
Mora also became the second-youngest player ever to start a World Cup knockout game after he took to the field for El Tri’s last-32 tie against Ecuador at the age of just 17 years and 259 days old – 20 days older than Pele was when the Brazilian legend featured at the 1958 tournament.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for the New York Liberty because they have won the WNBA Commissioners Cup again since 2023.
The Washington Commanders are looking a little different in 2026. After a 2025 season that fell way short of expectations, head coach Dan Quinn felt like he had to shake things up.
Defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury were both let go. It’s not surprising to see staff changes after a disappointing season, but not everyone feels the Kingsbury move was smart.

LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, has made Kendrick Perkins angry.
With LeBron James announcing his plans to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, his agent, Rich Paul, is obviously busy in finding the next destination for the 41-year-old.
Evidently, NBA experts and analysts must be contacting Paul to get inside scoops about the King’s next move. Kendrick Perkins seems to have tried that, but Paul apparently didn’t entertain him.
LeBron James to Cleveland
Northeast Ohio native LeBron James began his NBA career in Cleveland, won a title in Cleveland, and now it sounds like he could end his career in Cleveland.
On Tuesday, James officially informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he would not be returning to the team and would be signing elsewhere as a free agent. While the Golden State Warriors are reportedly making a push to sign James, it sounds like there’s a real chance that he could return to the Cleveland Cavaliers once again, presumably to end his career.

The Minnesota Vikings‘ ground game last season was overall lackluster, but it might have been due to a lack of attempts. The Vikings finished in the bottom third of rush yards per game but 11th in yards per carry. Minnesota would bring back Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason and add Demond Claiborne in the 2026 NFL Draft. With that being said, where would this group rank?
Bill Barnwell of ESPN went over the WR, TE, and RB groups across the NFL and ranked the group as a whole, and placed the Vikings 8th overall, a drop from their 6th place ranking last season.

The New York Knicks are champions, sitting on the NBA’s throne for the first time in decades. Now, 29 other teams will go to work in hopes of dethroning them.
The administrator of NASA promised to take a football to the moon if the United States win this year’s World Cup they’re co-hosting with Mexico and Canada.
“We’re going to get the soccer ball there,” Jared Isaacman said in a news conference on Tuesday.
“So a little bit of motivation for the United States here on this one. That’s the challenge, okay, so Team USA, get the job done.”
The team advanced to the round of 32 as Group D winners and will face Bosnia and Herzegovina for a place in the last 16.
Michigan State hockey had an absolute star on their roster last year with Porter Martone leading the way for the Spartans to have another Big Ten championship season, along with a regional final run in the NCAA Tournament.
After the season, Martone signed an entry level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, where he showed that he was one of the leagues best young players. After getting to play with the Flyers to close the season, and into the playoffs, Martone is still eligible to be a rookie in 2026-27.
