Investigators in North Carolina say they’ve determined the cause of the house explosion that killed the father of Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley.
They say that the blast was caused by natural gas.
According to WSOC-TV, the Iredell County Fire Marshal’s Office announced its findings on Tuesday. This comes about one week after the deadly explosion that killed Farley’s father, Robert Farley.
The former Virginia Tech Hokie purchased the home in Mooresville, North Carolina — which was completely destroyed in the blast — for $2 million.

The Cowboys‘ trade for 49ers quarterback Trey Lance last week came about quickly, Dallas owner Jerry Jones has stated.
In the process, Jones admitted he didn’t give starting quarterback Dak Prescott a heads-up before making the move. Additionally, coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t told about the team’s final decision before it happened.
Some were surprised that McCarthy wouldn’t be more involved in the actual decision to trade for Lance. However, it sounds like the coach is unbothered by what happened.

Any questions about whether Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller will be ready for the start of the 2023 NFL season have officially been answered.
Miller will remain on the Bills’ Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list past Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. So Miller will miss the first four games of the season, including Buffalo’s season opener against the New York Jets.

Buffalo is leaving Von Miller on the Physically Unable to Perform List past Tuesday’s 4 pm ET deadline, which means he is ineligible to be active during the first four games of the season.

Nebraska tight end Arik Gilbert was arrested Tuesday morning on speculation of burglary in Lincoln, Neb.
Gilbert, a former five-star recruit, was arrested without incident after he was found possessing vape materials, cigars, Delta 8 products and lighters from SJ’s Liquor and Vape Shop that amounted to more than $1,600 in value. He was taken into custody around 2 a.m. CT in Lancaster County, according to a statement from the Lincoln Police Department via On3.
In December, Gilbert entered the transfer portal before making the decision to transfer to Nebraska in January.

The Bills are placing Von Miller on the reserve/PUP list to begin the season, meaning the pass rusher will miss at least the first four games of 2023, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Miller is still recovering from a torn ACL he first suffered on Thanksgiving Day last season vs. the Lions. The veteran had surgery on his knee in early December, which cut his first season with the Bills short.
Buffalo opens the season on Monday Night Football against the Jets and Aaron Rodgers, then face the Raiders, Commanders and Dolphins through Week 4.
