With five laps to go, Ford driver Ryan Preece lost control of his No. 41 vehicle and slid sideways into the infield before flipping several times. His car eventually came to a rest upside down, where Preece miraculously crawled out of the car and walked away from the scary wreck.
Preece was then attended to by medical personnel on site.

Two NFL preseason games have been suspended in the past week.

It was only a matter of time until a car went airborne during the NASCAR regular season finale at Daytona, and it came with just a handful of laps to go Saturday night. Ryan Preece, driver of the No. 41 Ford, went off the ground and barrel-rolled with five laps to go in the Coke Zero Sugar 400, flipping 10 times before coming to a halt in the infield grass.
As Dale Earnhardt Jr. said on the NBC broadcast, it was a wreck straight out of “1985.”

A preseason game between the Dolphins and Jaguars in Jacksonville was called off Saturday evening after rookie Miami wide receiver Daewood Davis was injured and carted off the field.
With 8:35 to play, Dolphins quarterback James Blackman attempted to find Davis over the middle but missed. Jacksonville linebacker Dequan Jackson leveled the 24-year-old rookie, drawing a flag for unnecessary roughness as Davis lied motionless on the turf.

Preece was able to climb from his car before he laid down on a stretcher.

As if soccer fans needed another reminder of Lionel Messi’s greatness, the Inter Miami CF superstar delivered yet another sensational highlight Saturday in his MLS debut against the New York Red Bulls.
After entering the match in the 60th minute, Messi went on to score his latest goal in the 89th minute, a dazzling play that saw the 36-year-old dribble through three defenders before setting up himself for a touch pass from midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi in front of the net.

Messi didn’t enter until the 60th minute, but he still put on a show.

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson hit the showers early after a facemask that nearly decapitated Denver Broncos receiver Marvin Mims Jr.
It happened on the Broncos’ opening drive of the Saturday night preseason game. Denver was on the Rams’ 4-yard line and threatening to throw six on the scoreboard.
Mims took the handoff from QB Ben DiNucci and took it wide, hoping to find some space and get into the endzone.
Hodges-Tomlinson tracked Mims down and dove to drag him to the turf.
Which, he did, only he did it with a handful of facemask.
