The Jaguars have the 24th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and oddsmakers believe their most likely first-round pick will be a defensive player, with cornerback being the odds-on favorite.
Despite starting the season 2-6, Jacksonville won the AFC South in their first year under head coach Doug Pederson. It was also their second season with signal-caller Trevor Lawrence, the 2021 No. 1 overall draft pick.
The Jaguars are loaded with young talent on offense but defensively they have more work to do.

Kyrie Irving is trending in the postseason, which is strange because his team failed to make the playoffs.
Instead, the Dallas Mavericks guard is being talked about because of his comment on Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins.
On Wednesday, hours ahead of the Grizzlies and Lakers’ Game 5, Irving responded on social media to comments made by Jenkins about his team’s lack of maturity this postseason.
Jenkins said that his young Grizzlies team, led by Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks (yikes), has been out of focus and distracted the entire series.

Before ever announcing his college decision, Arch Manning had an inside track to acquiring top-tier NIL deals that could’ve quickly made him one of the top earners in college sports. But, as Texas coach Steve Sarkisian revealed Wednesday, the highly touted freshman quarterback has, in reality, earned far less than he could’ve at the request of his famous family.
With Manning, one of the top recruits in the class of 2023, currently set to back up Quinn Ewers, Sarkisian addressed the chatter surrounding how much Manning has earned in NIL money thus far.

KANSAS CITY — He didn’t come straight out and say it, which has the potential to make the rounds with NFL teams still gauging Will Levis and his personality. The quarterback did not specifically say an anonymous Reddit post that made things crazy earlier this week is bunk.
“Yeah, I mean, I can say something right now to get the people going a little bit, but I think I’m going to refrain from that,” Levis said Wednesday. ” But, I mean, everyone knows everything you read on Reddit is true. So take it for what you will. But, I mean, it’s just funny.

Indiana’s hopes of contending at the top of the Big Ten in the 2023-24 season got a boost Wednesday when the school announced point guard Xavier Johnson had received a medical hardship waiver that will allow him to return for one more season with the Hoosiers.
Johnson, the team’s starting point guard in all 45 games he has played at Indiana, suffered a season-ending foot fracture in the first half of a December 17 road game at Kansas.

Manchester City has been the favorites to win the league for a while but after its 4–1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday, it now has the title in its own hands. It’s still not top, but City is now just two points behind Arsenal with two games in hand and, given how well it is playing and the fact that Arsenal is without a win in four, it’s surely just a matter of time before a fifth Premier League in six years is wrapped up.

The UGA product is about to realize his lifelong dream of playing in the National Football League.
Georgia’s Darnell Washington is a tantalizing tight end prospect with extraordinary potential, but what’s even more remarkable than his exceptional physical gifts is the miraculous journey that he has taken to get to this point.
At 6’7 and 264 pounds, Washington put on a dazzling display at the scouting combine, highlighted by a 4.64 40-yard dash time that is nearly unheard of for a player his size.

As conference realignment and the rise of name, image and likeness have brought sweeping changes within the college football landscape, Maryland coach Mike Locksley feels that the sport should take it a step further an institute a salary cap.
Pointing to the Big Ten’s $7 billion TV rights deal signed last summer, Locksley suggested using that money to supplement programs’ recruiting efforts on Wednesday, and that the league should adopt a similar structure to the NFL.
“We signed a billion-dollar TV deal in the Big Ten,” Locksley told RJ Young of Fox Sports.

One of the big names in the NFL rumor mill this offseason is Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook. And, one of the worst-kept secrets has been the Miami Dolphins interest.
On Wednesday, the rumors gained new legs with a report that Cook says he wants to play for the Dolphins.

According to ESPN, some sources believe the Dolphins “could get aggressive” and make a play for Dalvin Cook if the Vikings signal they are ready to move on from him by drafting another running back
