The Hawks double-booked their arena with Janet Jackson because even they didn’t think they’d beat the Celtics twice.
Not many people expected the No. 7 seed Atlanta Hawks to win two games off the No. 2 seed Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs, and that apparently includes the Hawks themselves. Atlanta booked its home arena for a Janet Jackson concert scheduled for Thursday, April 27 way before the playoff bracket was ever announced.

Adam Cole is grateful to be back
Adam Cole is back in a familiar spot.
Cole will have a microphone in his hands on this week’s edition of Dynamite, addressing Chris Jericho as their feud begins to find more and more rhythm after last week’s one-sided beatdown that left Cole and real-life girlfriend Dr. Britt Baker laid out.
Redemption will come soon for Cole against Jericho.

Deion Sanders might not be a very popular guy with the parents of some former players.
More than 20 Colorado players have entered the transfer portal following Saturday’s spring game, and for many, it wasn’t voluntary.
In a scene straight out of a mob movie, Sanders brought in several players and ended their career in Boulder in a matter of seconds, according to a scene laid out by The Athletic.
Colorado cut several players after the team’s spring game.

The Hawks entered a must-win Game 5 of their first-round series against the Celtics without star guard Dejounte Murray.
Murray, the team’s second-leading scorer at 20.5 points per game, wasn’t with the team after the one-game suspension for bumping into referee Gediminas Petraitis in Game 4.
He said Tuesday in pregame media availability that he felt he had experienced “one-sided” treatment from Petraitis dating back to his time with the Spurs.

Fernando Tatis Jr. trolled the Wrigley faithful Tuesday after the fans in the outfielder bleachers began mocking him with a “He’s on steroids,” chant.
Tatis Jr, who was suspended 80 games last season and the start of this season for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs, responded by dancing their criticisms away… literally.

F1 announced changes to the sprint format, starting this weekend in Azerbaijan
Formula One is back this weekend after an unexpected, and extended, early-season break.
And things will look a lot different.
The grid heads to the Baku City Circuit for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, and F1 announced this week the new “Sprint Saturday” format. Designed to give fans something that matters on each day of the weekend.
Here is everything you need to know about the new sprint format for 2023.

Notre Dame tight end Michael Mayer will hear his name called in one of the first two rounds of the NFL Draft on Thursday or Friday. It would be a shock if he did not get drafted with one of the first 31 picks.
Mayer, 21, was considered a first-round prospect to begin the 2022 season and has jumped into the projected Top 20 throughout the entire pre-draft process. He isn’t necessarily the biggest, strongest or fastest player at his position but he has the tape and numbers to back up the claim that he’s the best player at his position.

Aaron Rodgers is a Jet.
The former Packers quarterback, who was finally traded to his new team on Monday, arrived at the Jets’ practice facility Wednesday morning and will be formally introduced at a 2 p.m. ET press conference.
The 39-year-old veteran QB showed up to his first day wearing a brand new New York hoodie and some aviator sunglasses.
While this trade was in the works for what felt like forever, it was still very jarring to see Rodgers wearing Jets gear.
Rodgers seemed to be in good spirits upon his arrival:
