He did not advance, but Adley Rutschman might have still won the Home Run Derby
Adley Rutschman just won the Home Run Derby.
Sure, he has yet to technically “win,” as he is locked in his first-round matchup against Luis Robert Jr., and the Chicago White Sox outfielder has belted 26 home runs this year and entered the Home Run Derby as the top seed.
But what the Baltimore Orioles catcher did on Monday night at T-Mobile Park will go on in Home Run Derby lore.

Julio Rodríguez is the hometown hero, and Pete Alonso is the betting favorite, but the other six contenders are also ready to make their marks.

Kenneth Rooks pulled off one of the most athletic feats of the year Saturday and did so in remarkable fashion. The 23-year-old collegiate runner, in a race against professionals, came back from dead last after a nasty spill and earned himself a spot on the United States Track and Field‘s World Outdoor Championships team.
Not only did he earn a qualifying spot, he won the national title outright!

The ghost of Draymond Green followed Jordan Poole to Washington after getting traded from the Warriors to the Wizards.
The former Golden State Warriors guard is still answering questions about his relationship with Draymond, which never recovered since Green decked Poole in the face during a scuffle at practice.

Reporters caught up with Poole this week, and one person asked if Draymond has reached out since getting traded.

Henderson, a five-star recruit in the Class of 2021, chose to forgo a college career and spent the last two years playing for the NBA G League Ignite. Now, at 19 years old, he will be the newest member of the Portland Trail Blazers.
Although Henderson is young, he is learning from an all-time great— Curry.
