Tiger Woods became the sixth member of the PGA Tour’s policy board Tuesday, marking a potentially major shift in power.
Tiger Woods was added as a Player Director to the PGA Tour’s policy board Tuesday. He joined Patrick Cantlay, Charlie Hoffman, Peter Malnati, Webb Simpson and Rory McIlroy.
Nearly every outlet reported Woods being added to the board. But many of them missed the mark.
This move signifies a potentially major shift in power of negotiations with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

The health of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa became a major headline during the 2022 NFL season after he suffered multiple concussions, putting his health and longevity in the league at risk.
However, as the ’23 season approaches, the Dolphins signal caller told reporters Wednesday that he dedicated the whole offseason to prepare for the physicality of the game in ’23. Tagovailoa, who enters his fourth NFL season, implemented jiu-jitsu training and did “a lot more reps with the heavier weights” to add muscle in seeking to remain on the field for the entire season.

A sprinter from Somalia has gone viral after she posted a jaw-droppingly slow time at the World University Games in Chengdu, China.
Nasra Ali Abukar represented the African nation in the event. And was part of the field in the 100 meters.
How did she do?
Well, she posted a jaw-droppingly slow time of 21.81 seconds.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports should step down. It’s disheartening to witness such an incompetent government. How could they select an untrained girl to represent Somalia in running? It’s truly shocking and reflects poorly on our country internationally. pic.

Cody Bellinger is having a heck of a bounce-back season. After three lousy years in a row, Bellinger is looking more like the guy who won the NL MVP award in 2019. In 76 games with the Cubs this season, he’s hitting .317 with a .912 OPS—that’s 258 points higher than the .654 OPS he posted last year.
Bellinger kept his hot streak going in Tuesday night’s game against the Reds, picking up three hits as Chicago erupted for 20 runs. He contributed to the offensive onslaught with a towering two-run homer in the second inning when Ben Lively hung a curveball right in his wheelhouse.

Let’s figure out the biggest winners and biggest losers of the 2023 MLB trade deadline.
The 2023 MLB trade deadline has come and gone, and while we didn’t necessarily get the blockbuster deals that we were expecting (which was largely due to the Angels deciding early on to hold on to what could’ve been the biggest name ever traded at the deadline), there was still plenty of action to sink your teeth into as a baseball fan. As usual, it’s time to figure out who came away from the deadline feeling good and who came away from Aug.

1. Let me be up front right off the bat here: I don’t watch any soccer, men’s or women’s, and I couldn’t care less if the U.S. women’s team wins the World Cup or not.
Having said, this business with Carli Lloyd is a media story, so I do have some thoughts.
Lloyd called out the U.S. team on TV for celebrating after a 0–0 tie earlier this week, and the clip of Lloyd was all over social media.

Fox’s Carli Lloyd did not mince words about the USWNT appearing to celebrate their disappointing 0-0 draw with Portugal.

College football is back and there is a realistic possibility that the landscape of the 2023 season could come down to one game between Tennessee and Georgia. No one knows what is going to happen this fall, and scenarios change daily, but November 18 is slated to be a big day.

On that day, the Volunteers will host the back-to-back reigning national champions. The Bulldogs expect to be undefeated at that point. It is possible that the home team enters that weekend without a divisional loss.
