Golfer Sandy Lyle has been around the block in his lengthy career. 
From Open and Masters titles in 1985 and 1988 to five Ryder Cup appearances to a 2012 induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame, Lyle sealed his place among Scotland’s golfing greats.
A champion’s sendoff at his final Masters in 2023 seemed appropriate. But Mother Nature had other ideas, forcing the 65-year-old back to the course first thing Saturday morning after Friday’s suspension of play for two final putts.

Phil Mickelson used to be the biggest draw in golf not named Tiger Woods, yet viewers have barely seen Lefty over the first two days of The Masters despite him being very much in contention.
Surely just coincidence!
In fact, the only real Mickelson news you’ve likely read involved Friday playing partner Si Woo Kim’s shirt, which was a pretty obvious snide at Phil.
Mickelson, meanwhile, currently enters the weekend 4-under and in a tie for 10th ahead of his 12:30 tee time Saturday. The former Masters champ is eight shots back of fellow LIV buddy, Brooks Koepka.

Deshaun Watson is headed back to court.
The Cleveland Browns quarterback will give a deposition next week in the 25th sexual misconduct lawsuit filed against him by a licensed massage therapist.
Anissah M. Nguyen and the Universal Law Group filed the suit on behalf of “Jane Doe” in October 2022. The lawsuit alleges Watson attempted to solicit sex acts, including intercourse, with the plaintiff during a massage session in December 2020.
The court filing says Watson must bring records of communication between him and the plaintiff.

Jon Rahm will play in the final group with Masters leader Brooks Koepka when round three begins at a gloomy Augusta on Saturday.

Any Pirates fan would probably agree that Roberto Clemente is the greatest and most impactful player in franchise history. The Hall of Fame outfielder spent his entire 18-year career in Pittsburgh, making 12 All-Star games and winning an MVP award, among a long list of accomplishments throughout his career.
While Clemente died in 1972, his presence in Pittsburgh remains, which includes Clemente’s family. On Friday, Roberto Clemente Jr.

The Dallas Mavericks have no shame.
With the season on the line Friday night and facing a must-win game in order to continue their playoff contention, five Dallas Mavericks players sat out.
The result? The Mavs lost and are now out of the playoffs.

An elite cycling champion died this week after being struck by a car in San Francisco.
Ethan Boyes, 44, was hit by a car while riding in the bike lane in the city’s famous Presidio Park. Boyes was a San Francisco native.
The competitive track racer won several national cycling titles, including the 2018 and 2019 USA Cycling Masters Track National Champion. He is also the national record holder for the 500-meter “flying start” track time trial, according to USA Cycling.

As LeBron James nears the completion of his 20th NBA season, there are few signs of him slowing down anytime soon.
The Lakers star will turn 39 next season, but his play on the hardwood this year wouldn’t indicate that he’s one of the league’s oldest players.
James is averaging 28.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game on 49.9% shooting from the floor. He dealt with some nagging injuries, most notably a tendon issue with his foot, that only allowed him to play in 54 games this season.

Few had a better view of Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison’s NFL career than fellow Colts great Reggie Wayne.
The two were teammates from 2001 to ’08 on Indianapolis, catching passes from Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning. Harrison made six Pro Bowls during that span and eight in all; Wayne made three and six, respectively.
It was for this reason that Wayne’s comment in The Indianapolis Star about Harrison’s son, Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., made waves.

Becker has revealed what life for him was like behind bars after he was jailed for hiding £2.
