One of the big names in the NFL rumor mill this offseason is Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook. And, one of the worst-kept secrets has been the Miami Dolphins interest.
On Wednesday, the rumors gained new legs with a report that Cook says he wants to play for the Dolphins.

When Mets ace Max Scherzer was ejected from his April 19 start against the Dodgers, he became the highest-profile and most accomplished pitcher to be officially reprimanded for a “sticky stuff” infraction. Scherzer was adamant that he did not cheat in the aftermath, though ultimately chose not to appeal his 10-game suspension.
On Wednesday, Scherzer’s agent, Scott Boras, explained why.
As Boras put it to Sports Illustrated‘s Tom Verducci, Scherzer opted against an appeal because he considered it a “fruitless” effort.

Von Miller has five years left on his contract with the Buffalo Bills. It will be his last contract.

There was a lot of chatter about whether or not Arch Manning would be receiving NIL deals once he got to Texas. Turns out, his family is not allowing it right now according to Longhorns’ head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Ime Udoka was introduced as the new coach of the Rockets on Wednesday, and he faced several questions regarding his suspension and eventual ouster from the Celtics.
Udoka was issued a full-year suspension by the Celtics last offseason for a violation of team rules stemming from an inappropriate relationship with a female subordinate in the organization. Udoka and the Celtics parted ways midseason, and the interim tag was removed from Joe Mazzulla, who subsequently signed a contract extension to become the team’s permanent coach.

One humorous anecdote that arose out from the Jets’ introductory news conference for Aaron Rodgers on Wednesday was the revelation that the star quarterback seems intent on getting off on the right foot.

As validation that the four-time NFL MVP already is feeling right at home with his team, Jets coach Robert Saleh divulged to reporters that his new starting quarterback attended meetings barefoot on Wednesday.
