After back-to-back injury-shortened seasons, do you think Lamar Jackson will run less often in 2023? It seems likely, though it’s worth noting that Jackson’s injuries occurred on passing plays. With the addition of Odell Beckham Jr.

Paul Finebaum thinks the PAC-12’s days of chaos aren’t nearing an end.
The West Coast-based conference has been attempting to land a new media deal, and the situation has been nothing short of a disaster. The PAC-12 doesn’t have a new media rights contract, despite official claiming for months one is right around the corner.
There’s also been nonstop rumors Colorado could return to the Big 12 and Oregon and Washington are holding out hope for Big Ten invites.
The PAC-12 remains consumed by chaos.

Diamondbacks All-Star outfielder Corbin Carroll missed the remainder of Thursday’s 9–0 home loss to the Mets after sustaining an apparent shoulder injury in the seventh inning.
Carroll, a favorite to win NL Rookie of the Year, appeared to be in noticeable pain after grabbing his right shoulder following a swing in his third at-bat of the night. The standout rookie took off his helmet before being led into the clubhouse by a team trainer while holding his arm.

An eventful day of Damian Lillard updates appeared to pique the Trail Blazers star’s curiosity as he took to Twitter to deliver a cryptic message on Thursday night.
The chatter surrounding Lillard’s trade request took an interesting turn after it was reported that his agent Aaron Goodwin warned teams not to trade for him in an effort to help his chances of landing with the Heat, his preferred destination. Goodwin later set the record straight before confirming he’s doing what he can to get Lillard to Miami.

Indiana Pacers All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton couldn’t help but let the emotions flow in a press conference on Thursday while discussing his recent $260 million max extension.
While addressing the media, Haliburton was brought to tears as he thanked the most important person responsible for success—his mom.
“There’s so many people here for me to thank, but I’d be wrong to not start with my mom,” Haliburton said. “A lot of people don’t know this.

There’s yet another concerning report of a young athlete, this time a 17-year-old football player, collapsing on the field.
Newsday reported that Robert Bush, from Selden, New York passed out after just a few minutes on the practice field earlier this week.
The football team was undergoing conditioning drills at Newfield High School, and Bush reportedly had a “cardiac event,” according to his older brother, Steve Bush.
Coaches performed CPR and used a defibrillator in an attempt to revive Bush.

Skip Bayless had heated words for “Inside the NBA” host Charles Barkley as Bayless’ show “Undisputed” continues its search for a new co-host.
Less than a month since the FS1 show lost co-host Shannon Sharpe over reported differences between him and Bayless, Skip is stepping up to recruit Barkley, albeit in a very degrading manner.
Bayless essentially ‘challenged’ Barkley to join “Undisputed” as the new host to continue their off-the-air hatred for each other.

Less than a week after making an eyebrow-raising declaration while discussing Nikola Jokić, Dwight Howard continued to defend his case for why he believes he deserves more praise than the Nuggets star as one of the NBA’s all-time great centers.
The legendary 18-year NBA veteran initially sparked debate online on May 30 after saying he would pick a prime version of himself over two-time MVP Jokić “all day, every day.

Sha’Carri Richardson’s strong start to 2023 continued on Thursday at the U.S. Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., clocking in a blistering time of 10.71 seconds in the 100-meter dash.
That set the mark for the fastest time of the year, and is a personal best for the 23-year-old former LSU star. The result comes three months after Richardson clocked a wind-aided 10.57-second sprint at the Miramar Invitational on April 8, which is not eligible for records and was officially logged at 10.77 seconds when adjusting for the wind.
