The Jets’ rookie receiver wasn’t happy with referee Shawn Smith during this past weekend’s playoff game between the Chargers and Jaguars.
Late in Saturday’s playoff collapse, Chargers star defensive end Joey Bosa received a pair of unsportsmanlike penalties that proved to be costly in his team’s 31–30 loss to the Jaguars. The first such penalty drew the attention of Jets receiver Garrett Wilson, who defended the fellow Ohio State alum after the decision.

It’s been nearly a year since the James Harden drama ended in Brooklyn and the Nets traded him to the Philadelphia 76ers, but that doesn’t mean he’s a complete afterthought, at least not in Kyrie Irving’s mind.
The Nets are amid what could be a long stretch without Kevin Durant after he suffered a sprained MCL a week ago. When asked about how he sees things moving forward without Durant in the lineup, Irving took a not-so-subtle shot at Harden, who caused all sorts of uneasiness during his short time in Brooklyn.
“I’m consistently in the lineup, that helps,” Irving said.

Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats did not mince words Monday with something he has never had to discuss – a murder.
Tuscaloosa Police charged Alabama junior forward Darius Miles with capital murder on Sunday. He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
Jamea Jonae Harris Of Birmingham Was Shot Dead
Miles, 21, and Michael Lynn Davis, 20, have been charged with the killing of Jamea Jonae Harris, a 23-year-old woman from Birmingham. Both Miles and Davis are from the Washington D.C. area.
Harris was shot while in a vehicle at about 1:45 a.m.

Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken is reportedly drawing the attention of NFL leaders.
Monken is fresh off his second straight national title with the Bulldogs, and he might have shown enough to return to the NFL.
Jeremy Fowler reported Monday that the Georgia OC “has garnered” interest to return to the NFL as an offensive coordinator. Monken previously spent time in the NFL with the Jaguars, Buccaneers and Browns.

One college coach I’m hearing has garnered NFL OC interest from teams this cycle: Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

The Tide coach called the shooting “a tragedy all around.”
A day after one of his players was charged with capital murder, Alabama men’s basketball coach Nate Oats expressed his sympathy Monday for the family of Jamea Jonae Harris, the woman who was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning in Tuscaloosa.
“It’s really a tragedy all around, but especially for Jamea and her family,” Oats said in a news conference Monday afternoon, less than 24 hours after forward Darius Miles was one of two men charged with the murder of Harris.

Zach Wilson’s brother, Isaac, is an absolute baller. He is currently a second-semester junior in high school on a fast track to the next level.
As a two-star recruit, Zach had just five Power Five conference offers and ended up at BYU. Isaac, a four-star prospect, has already accrued 13 scholarship offers as the No. 12 player at his position in the Class of 2024.
Arizona, Louisville, Miami, Oklahoma State and Oregon are already in on the youngest of four Wilson brothers, who receives an insane amount of recruiting mail. As is BYU. As is Utah.
That’s where things get interesting.
