Nagy was the team’s quarterbacks coach this past season and will now become offensive coordinator for the second time in Kansas City.
Following Eric Bieniemy’s departure to Washington to become the Commanders’ new offensive coordinator, the Chiefs have promoted quarterbacks coach Matt Nagy to offensive coordinator, the team announced.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was first to report that Nagy was a strong internal candidate to replace Bieniemy in Kansas City. Nagy was the offensive coordinator for Andy Reid for the 2016 and ’17 seasons.

Phoenix may look to add depth in the backcourt ahead of the stretch run.
The Suns already made waves this NBA season by landing Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade with the Nets, but that doesn’t mean the franchise is done with trying to make moves on the margins. In fact, the latest player that Phoenix is reportedly keeping an eye on is another former MVP: Derrick Rose.
According to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, the Suns are monitoring Rose as a possible buyout candidate, should the veteran guard secure a buyout from the Knicks.

The NFL analyst had one signal caller in mind who was under the most pressure to secure the Lombardi Trophy.
On Friday’s episode of Keyshawn, JWill and Max, former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson revealed his list of quarterbacks under the most pressure to win a title.
The top six began with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, followed by Josh Allen of the Bills, Dak Prescott of the Cowboys, Lamar Jackson of the Ravens, Justin Herbert of the Chargers and Joe Burrow of the Bengals.

WWE wrestling star Carmella was dealing with a “deep depression” as a result of an ectopic pregnancy, she told the After the Bell podcast Friday, hosted by her husband, Corey Graves, a fellow wrestler and WWE commentator.

No matter where the truth lies, lack of trust across the NFL makes the Russell Wilson–Pete Carroll saga all too predictable.
On Friday, Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson posted a denial to Twitter saying he never asked Seahawks ownership to fire Pete Carroll and John Schneider, as a story in The Athletic alleged the same day.
I read that and thought it wasn’t surprising Wilson denied the allegations, but we shouldn’t be focusing on the question of whether he actually did it. Why? Because it’s not surprising Wilson would ask for his head coach or general manager to be fired.

Miami women’s basketball is in hot water over its recruitment of Haley and Hanna Cavinder. The Hurricanes agreed to penalties handed down by the NCAA on Friday afternoon.
Haley and Hanna, two of the biggest brands in college sports, have more than 4 million followers on their TikTok account, with more than 500,000 followers each on Instagram. They are each worth nearly $1 million (if not more) through the new rules surrounding Name, Image and Likeness.

Jacksonville locked down Trevor Lawrence’s experienced backup before he was able to hit free agency.
The Jaguars have signed CJ Beathard to a contract extension, the team announced Friday, keeping the veteran quarterback in Jacksonville ahead of the upcoming free agency period.
The franchise did not disclose the terms of the extension but NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that the deal will be for two years.
Beathard, a 2017 third-round pick out of Iowa, has spent the last two seasons with the Jags, serving as the backup to former No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence.
