As LSU women’s basketball heads to its sixth Final Four in program history, Angel Reese is leading the charge. The Tigers’ third-year sophomore is averaging 23.2 points and 15.7 rebounds per game this season, with a double-double in all-but two games.
Her 32nd double-double, which she recorded in the Elite Eight, set an SEC record.

The cost-cutting at NFL Network has led to one prominent host being let go.
Prominent NFL Network and host Rachel Bonnetta have parted ways, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
The 31-year-old Bonnetta fell victim to staff-trimming measures at the network after a swift rise that led to her nearly replacing Kay Adams on Good Morning Football, one of the station’s premier shows.
Instead, Jamie Erdahl landed the position after Bonnetta pushed back on relocating from Los Angeles to New York to become Adams’s replacement.

He was arrested in December and accused of robbing a bank.
A Chiefs superfan accused of robbing an Oklahoma bank is reportedly on the run from police after missing his court hearing and the discovery of his court-mandated GPS monitor in a wooded area, Kevin Draper of The New York Times reported Monday.
In December, Xavier Michael Babudar, well known as “ChiefsAholic,” was arrested in connection to a bank robbery in Bixby, Okla. Babudar, who attends Chiefs games in a wolf costume, was released from jail and awaiting trail after bail bondsman Michael Lloyd paid the $80,000 bond.

The Packers coach was clear he doesn’t want to put unrealistic expectations on the young player.
Ever since the Packers selected him in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft, Green Bay fans knew the day would come when Jordan Love would take the reigns and become the franchise’s new starting quarterback. With the imminent Aaron Rodgers trade to the Jets, that day seems like it’s finally near.

Creighton coach Greg McDermott channeled Eric Taylor after losing to San Diego State.
The Blue Jays lost in the Elite Eight to the Aztecs in heartbreaking and brutal fashion when a foul was called in the closing moment that allowed SDSU to earn the win.
Creighton released a video Monday night of McDermott’s speech to the team, and it’s something that could easily be straight out of a “Friday Night Lights” episode.

Will CBS make Tournament change; MLB broadcasters have a challenge and more
Welcome to the first installment of a weekly mailbag that I will be writing every Tuesday about the world of sports media (and anything else you want to chime in about). Please email me any questions you have to Jimmy.Traina@si.com or send them via Twitter.
Here we go…

I would be stunned if CBS removed Grant Hill from the No. 1 booth before next season when Ian Eagle takes over for Jim Nantz.

Florida Atlantic basketball and head coach Dusty May are headed to the Final Four for the first time in school history. The Owls are the second No. 9 seed in NCAA Tournament history to play for a chance at the national title.
To call FAU’s run remarkable would be true, but the team has lost just three games all season. May’s fifth year at the helm has seen nearly double the amount of wins as his second-best season.
But he almost didn’t make it past year one. In fact, he almost didn’t make it past day one.
May accepted the head coaching job at FAU in March of 2018.
