The Chiefs aren’t at Patriots-level dislike, they’ll need more wins and a cheating scandal to reach that peak, but K.C. is the NFL’s current Enemy No. 1.
PHOENIX — Sunday became the day to gather and worship God in the Bible’s New Testament but the NFL took it for its own purposes decades ago and now millions of Americans idolize professional football more than their Creator.
At no time is this more true than Super Bowl Sunday.
But this Super Bowl Sunday when hundreds of millions of football fans will tune it to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles play, they will be watching a game in which both star quarterbacks are Christians.

The former Eagles coach winning his second Super Bowl with the Chiefs would be huge
One of the most prominent Super Bowl storylines in 2023 is Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid facing off against his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. In regular season play, Reid is 3-0 vs. Philadelphia since he was fired in 2012. The last time these sides met was in October 2021, when quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes threw for five touchdowns and Jalen Hurts tallied a career-high 387 yards through the air in a 42-30 shootout in Philadelphia.
Taylor Heinicke has zero issues being a backup QB in the NFL.
The scrappy passer is slated to be a free agent after spending the past few years with the Commanders. Heinicke played surprisingly well whenever pressed into service, and there’s no doubt he will continue to be in the league for a long time.
Will it be as a fringe starter or as a backup holding a clipboard? While he prefers the former, the second option is still all good in his book.

Officially, the highest sack mark in a postseason career is owned by Willie McGinest – who retired in 2008 with 16 playoff sacks.
