With the Athletics inching closer and closer to a move from Oakland to Las Vegas after a deal was finalized earlier this month for $1.5 billion stadium to be built on the Las Vegas Strip, club owner John Fisher is considering an interesting schedule tweak.
When the Athletics officially move, Fisher reportedly is considering start times of 4 p.m. for home games. The thinking behind the possible move is to allow tourists to come to the game before they head elsewhere on the Strip for evening entertainment, per Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times.
Lionel Messi, the soccer world’s biggest star, could be heading to play in the United States sooner rather than later.
Messi started and played the vast majority of his career at FC Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga. But a few years ago moved to Paris Saint-Germain and France’s Ligue 1.
His time at PSG though has been rocky, to say the least.
In early May, news broke that Messi had been suspended by his club for an unauthorized visit to Saudi Arabia.
While he’s since returned to the team, the visit sparked rumors of a massive offer to move to the Middle East.
The Panthers are slated to face the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final following their improbable playoff run.

Although the team was excited to reveal the new threads, the reaction from fans likely wasn’t what they expected.
Some things are simply inevitable. Sevilla do not lose Europa League finals, not even against José Mourinho at his most cussed. Since 2006, Sevilla has been in seven Europa League finals and won them all, contributing to the astonishing record of Spanish teams in European finals as a whole: 18 now in a row against non-Spanish opposition without defeat after Sevilla edged out Mourinho and Roma in penalties Wednesday. Mourinho, of course, refused to take responsibility, blaming the referee, Anthony Taylor.

His decision comes as the program is under investigation by the NCAA into possible violations stemming from a gambling scandal involving the Bearcats and the Alabama baseball program.
At the center of the investigation is Bert Eugene Neff Jr., an Indiana resident who drew attention from an Ohio sportsbook after placing suspicious wagers on an Alabama-LSU baseball game on April 28.

There’s plenty of buzz surrounding the Colorado football program and new coach Deion Sanders.
Since taking over the head coaching position, Sanders has made the Buffaloes one of the most discussed teams in the nation. And it seems TV networks have taken notice, too.
In 2023, Colorado is set to have three nationally televised games in its first three weeks of the season for the first time since the 1990 campaign when the program won its lone national championship.
