Two of the biggest names in women’s golf have signed a sponsorship deal with the largest airline in the world.
Michelle Wie West and Rose Zhang, two of the biggest names in women’s golf, made LPGA Tour history this week by signing a sponsorship deal with Delta Airlines, the largest air passenger carrier in the world.
Arguably, the biggest story of the college basketball season was the shooting death of Jamea Harris in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Michael Davis, friend of former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles, shot and killed Harris. Authorities charged both Davis and Miles with her murder. NBA Draft prospect and former Alabama player Brandon Miller was also at the scene. But another Crimson Tide player, Kai Spears, says he wasn’t there at the time of Harris’ death. But the New York Times reported that he was.
Now, Spears is suing the newspaper.
ESPN personality Sam Ponder doubled down on her stance in regard to transgender athletes competing in sports.
Nearly a week ago, University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines tweeted her thoughts about transgender girls competing in high school track and field competitions in California, saying it was “discrimination against women and bullying” that “mediocre men” have crept into the sport.
Gaines also revealed text messages from girls who claimed to be scared to voice their opinions and fathers stating their frustration about the sport’s influx of transgender competitors.
