Joel Dahmen faced a mountain of pressure on Sunday at the RSM Classic and conquered it with one of the best rounds of his career.
What Joel Dahmen pulled off on Sunday was incredible.
He secured his PGA Tour playing privileges for 2025 despite not having his best stuff during the first 54 holes of the RSM Classic. But he tallied a final round 64 on Sunday, which vaulted him up the FedEx Cup Fall rankings and within the necessary top-125 threshold.
His final round began with a bang, too.

The Timberwolves announcers couldn’t believe Jaylen Brown was hitting so many shots after a cold start to the season.
The Boston Celtics are rolling again to begin the new NBA season, and it’s happened despite a cold shooting start from the reigning NBA Finals MVP. Jaylen Brown had not been able to buy a bucket from the outside entering Sunday afternoon’s matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves, shooting only 28.4 percent from three-point range.

The first Latino to lead the men’s national team has supreme “belief” the federation can win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
When Mauricio Pochettino took over as manager of the US men’s national team, he became the highest-profile name to take control of the program’s history.
He also became the first name of Latin descent to be named head coach in the 111-year history of the federation.
Pochettino, 52, arrives as former player for his native Argentina but is more widely regarded as a coach and difference-maker across many facets.

Maverick McNealy became the newest PGA Tour winner on Sunday after making birdie on his 72nd hole to earn a one-shot victory at the RSM Classic. The entire McNealy crew was certainly thrilled to see the 29-year-old find the winner’s circle for the first time in what was his 142nd start on Tour, but as he alluded to, nobody may be more thrilled about the win more so than his grandmother.
Speaking with reporters after earning the win, McNealy explained that he has had a standing deal with his Grandma Marm since he turned professional years ago.

Four top-6 teams descend on the City of Angels in a star-studded weekend.
Week three of NCAA women’s basketball featured the strongest slate of games so far in the non-conference season. The weekend included two games, played only miles apart, between four of the top six teams in the country, Geno Auriemma grabbed hold of history and a Big Ten squad suffered a season-altering injury.
Here’s how it impacted the rankings.

A Cal student got a dose of karma after trying to take off with a helmet.
The Golden Bears are bowl eligible after improving to 6-5 with a 24-21 win over Stanford this past weekend. It’s always great to see a program like Cal go bowling. They’re rarely relevant, but will get a postseason game.
Earning bowl eligibility by beating a bitter rival is the cherry on top, and that’s why fans stormed the field after the game.
Unfortunately for one dude, he wanted a bit extra, and it didn’t go well at all.

One of the best pro players ever, men or women, here’s how Marta just put a cherry on top of a remarkable career

Why it’s okay to be bullish on Bryce Young and the Panthers .
The Panthers aren’t a good football team, but they’re far from a terrible one. Showing far more fight than a majority of three-win teams, Carolina gave a significant scare to the Chiefs on Sunday. Kansas City ended up needing a last-second field goal as time expired to ensure a 30-27 win, after betting lines had them as 11-point favorites.
For the Panthers it wasn’t a testament in success, but progress — especially from quarterback Bryce Young. The former No.

Nebraska assistant coach Donovan Raiola was caught on video in a bizarre exchange after beating Wisconsin.
The Cornhuskers smashed the Badgers over the weekend 44-25, and it’s just the latest frustrating moment of the season for Luke Fickell’s program.
However, the most interesting part of the night might not have actually been during the game. It came afterward when players and coaches were leaving the field.
