New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen has made several curious personnel decisions in recent years, failing to trade players such as running back Saquon Barkley, safety Xavier McKinney, and linebacker Azeez Ojulari at the deadline.
All three are now gone — Barkley and Ojulari to the Philadelphia Eagles, McKinney to the Green Bay Packers — and the Giants received nothing in return outside of help in the compensatory pick formula.
In addition, Schoen has been forced to backfill those positions in subsequent free agency periods.
Joe Milton III experienced a dream transformation when he fell asleep last night as a New England Patriot, waking up to find his dream had become a reality. On Thursday the Patriotssent the second-year quarterback and a seventh-round draft selection to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick.
Milton, a former University of Tennessee product, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm about joining the organization his family has supported for years.
“My family grew up a Cowboys fan,” Milton said via Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
After spending five years away from her hometown while playing NCAA Division I women’s basketball and earning her degree, Isabella Hunt rejoined the Bishop McCort Catholic High School athletic program Thursday.
Hunt recently finished her college career at East Tennessee State University. The former Crimson Crushers two-time all-state player had utilized her extra year of basketball eligibility resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, she graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College, where Hunt was a three-year starter and appeared in two NCAA Division I tournaments.

Stopera, whose curling career is rooted in the Ardsley Curling Club, was a three-time U.S. junior champion and, in 2017, won silver at the 2017 World Junior Championships.

MILAN (AP) — Surgeons found that overall World Cup skiing champion Federica Brignone also tore her ACL in a giant slalom crash in which she broke multiple bones in her left leg.
The discovery is a further setback for the 34-year-old Italian’s hopes of competing at a home Olympics in 10 months. She was expected to be one of her country’s stars of the Milan-Cortina Games.
Brignone underwent surgery at La Madonnina clinic in Milan on Thursday night after a crash at the Italian championships earlier in the day.
The New Orleans Saints seem to at least be interested in Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart. How interested are they, though? There are a couple of moves they could make, or not make, that would answer this question.
There was a report suggesting Dart could creep into the first half of the opening round. If that happened, it would be one of the more surprising moves of the NFL draft. Kellen Moore could fall for Dart and believe those whispers (or be the source of them), so much so that he jumps for him at ninth overall.
