MONTMELO, Spain (AP) — Alpine driver Pierre Gasly’s third-place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix was reinstated Friday after racing officials accepted an appeal filed by the Formula 1 team.
Gasly finished the Monaco race third but was demoted to seventh place after race officials handed him two five-second penalties for allegedly going too fast in the pitlane.
Alpine immediately appealed the ruling, and the FIA found that the timekeepers had erred in clocking his car’s speed.

Barcelona refuse to give up on dream signing despite major obstacles

Barcelona’s pursuit of Julian Alvarez remains alive despite a series of complications that have threatened to derail one of the club’s most ambitious transfer operations.

Feyenoord keen on Westerlo’s former Eintracht Frankfurt striker

According to FR12, Feyenoord are said to be interested in signing Nacho Ferri from Westerlo. The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker has spent the past two seasons in Belgium, firstly with Kortrijk on loan and then last season with Westerlo permanently. Feyenoord are said to be keen on the 21-year-old Spanish striker who has a contract with Westerlo until 2029. Ferri scored 11 goals in 37 games for Westerlo, an improvement on the eight in 34 he scored for Kortrijk the season before.
