As expected, the Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford hammered out a new contract this month, just as they have in each of the last two offseasons. Stafford was already signed through 2026 and committed to playing this season, but the two sides wanted to keep the door open for the reigning MVP to return in 2027.
That’s exactly what this new contract does.
It was reported as a one-year, $55 million extension, and on Tuesday, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated shared the finer details of Stafford’s deal.

The Detroit Lions officially hit the practice field this week as organized team activities begin, marking the first real opportunity to evaluate where the roster stands entering the 2026 season. Detroit Lions OTAs are scheduled across three weeks, and it all begins this coming Wednesday.

Week 1: May 27-29
Week 2: June 2-4
Week 3: June 9-11

While it is important not to overreact to offseason practices, these workouts still provide valuable clues about player development, injury recoveries, and early position battles.

Felix Rosenqvist made history on Sunday when he won the closest Indianapolis 500 ever.
He made even more history with that victory.
In a statement released on Monday, IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway confirmed the biggest purse in the 110-year history of the Indianapolis 500, a record-breaking $30,906,400.

The drive for the Kelly Cup is underway. 
The 2026 ECHL playoffs feature four rounds of best-of-seven series to crown a champion. A new winner is guaranteed, as Trois-Rivières missed the playoffs this year after hoisting the Cup in 2025.

Even though I have not seen a statement from Flory Bidunga himself, or his agent, the reports are so many that he is withdrawing from the NBA Draft, such that I feel more comfortable this May morning that he’ll suit up for the Cardinals come autumn.
Earlier reports that he “signed” with the Cardinals were too sketchy for this former prosecutor. I have remained skeptical.
Even though the current reportage is also hearsay, it has the appearance  of validity. Ah, how one’s standards slip in retirement.
