The Hurricanes bolstered their star-studded 2027 recruiting class with a commitment from four-star Pearland (Texas) High School defensive lineman Demarco Jenkins .
Mario Cristobal and the staff hosted the Rivals Industry Ranking No. 41 DL in America for the first time over the weekend, which vaulted Miami past TCU and SMU over the last 72 hours.

Detroit – Alex Palou, a four-time IndyCar series champion, has won the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix for the second time in four years.
Palou, who started from the pole for Chip Ganassi Racing, regained the lead with 31 laps to go during a full-course caution after pitting first. He held off a charge from last year’s race winner, Kyle Kirkwood, driving for Andretti Global., who was 3.0584 behind. Graham Rahal, who drives for Rahal Letterman Lanigan, was third in Sunday’s race.

There were seven lead changes and 173 total passes during the race on the notoriously bumpy, tight track.

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jesus Sanchez had to leave Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles after getting hit by a baseball thrown from the stands in the middle of the sixth inning.
Sanchez originally stayed in the game for two batters in the bottom of the inning before he was replaced by Yohendrick Piñango.
“Jesús Sánchez was removed from today’s game with a right wrist contusion,” The Blue Jays said in a statement. “He underwent precautionary X-rays that were negative for a fracture.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Victor Wembanyama barely could get the words out.
The question, a few minutes after he and the San Antonio Spurs won the Western Conference title and earned the right to go to this year’s NBA Finals to face the New York Knicks, was about his relationship with former coach Gregg Popovich and what this playoff run likely means to the winningest coach in league history.
And Wembanyama paused, clearly emotional, before starting his answer.
“I don’t know what it means for him,” Wembanyama said.
