We’ve reached the next phase of the New Orleans Saints offseason program, with organized team activities kicking off in Metairie at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center. The Saints will hold a series of voluntary practices on May 27 and 28; June 1, 3, and 4; and June 8, 10, and 11 before mandatory minicamp is held on June 16 and 17. Then it’s a long summer break until training camp kicks off in late July.

Colby Covington recently informed the UFC that he is sailing off into the sunset and retiring from MMA. Going forward, it’s back to his wrestling roots for one of the welterweight division’s most visible grapplers of the past decade.
Covington, 38, slowed down his MMA activity starting in 2020 after losing his first undisputed UFC title shot against Kamaru Usman via fifth-round knockout. Covington only fought once per calendar year in each year that followed, excluding 2025 when he didn’t fight at all.

The Tennessee Titans have signed first-round pick Keldric Faulk to a contract, officially completing the signings for all eight of their selections in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Faulk, an edge defender out of Auburn, ended up with the Titans after general manager Mike Borgonzi traded up from the early second round to the No. 31 pick at the back end of the first round to select him.

There wasn’t much hype surrounding the Colorado Rockies heading into the 2026 season. They were coming off a season where they lost 119 games and didn’t do much over the winter break. 
However, they would get off to a solid start this year, holding a 13-14 record through April, but May has been a different story. They currently sit with a 20-36 record, 15.

The Buffalo Bills have signed veteran inside linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles to a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday. Terms of the contract were not immediately disclosed.

The Indianapolis Colts will look to start the 2026 campaign on a high note following a disappointing end to the year in 2025. 
The Colts are set to face the New England Patriots in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL preseason, followed by a matchup with the Atlanta Falcons during Week 2.
Head coach Shane Steichen announced on Wednesday that the team will partake in a joint practice with both the Patriots and Falcons prior to their preseason matchups.
The Colts will practice with the Falcons twice, while practicing with the Patriots just once.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is planning to get an up-close look at the hottest team in basketball.
Trump told reporters on Wednesday that New York Knicks owner James Dolan has invited him to the NBA Finals, when the Eastern Conference champion Knicks host either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs next month at Madison Square Garden.
New York, which is riding an 11-game postseason winning streak after sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference finals, is scheduled to host Game 3 on June 8 and Game 4 on June 10.

Marc Johnson, the influential professional skateboarder whose inventive street style and Bay Area roots helped define modern street skating, has died at the age of 49.
Johnson’s death was announced in a statement attributed to longtime friend and fellow professional skateboarder Louie Barletta and shared by Thrasher Magazine. A cause of death was not immediately disclosed.
“He was one of the most talented and creative people to ever step on or off a skateboard,” Barletta wrote.
