Game 2 of the World Series was pretty much all Los Angeles Dodgers from the start, but on a dime, the vibe in Dodger Stadium went from a party to deafening silence as the team’s superstar Shohei Ohtani walked off the field clutching his arm.
It happened in the bottom of the seventh inning with the Dodgers up 4-1 after Ohtani was walked to get on base. The next batter was Mookie Betts who struck out. With two outs, next at the plates was Teoscar Hernandez and on the first pitch that he faced, Ohtani — who stole 59 bases in the regular season — took off for second.

Shoehi Ohtani exited Game 2 of the World Series with a shoulder injury.
Shohei Ohtani has a case as the most spectacular athlete on Earth. His talent is finally on the biggest stage in the baseball with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2024 World Series, but he had to leave Game 2 after suffering a scary injury on a failed stolen base attempt.
With the Dodgers leading 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ohtani tried to steal second base. He was thrown out, and then had to exit the game with a left shoulder injury suffered during his slide.

Given the East Coast vs. West Coast nature of this year’s World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, it’s only fitting that a taste of one of history’s biggest East Coast-West Coast feuds — the one from the hip-hop world — made an appearance.
Fortunately, it was a small taste. That feud got very nasty at times.
The World Series started with a bang thanks to Game 1 being an instant classic, capped off by Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in extra innings to give the Dodgers a 1-0 series lead.

If you are a fan of college football, but also like to follow what’s going on inside the stadium as two teams battle on the field, then the Texas A&M police department is a must follow on social media.
We see videos every weekend that show wild behavior during games across the country, but there is no other account on social media that gives you this type of entertainment, if you’re scrolling your phone on a Saturday night.

The 7’5 guy is shooting logo threes now.
Victor Wembanyama lived up to every ounce of his almost unprecedented hype last season as a rookie. What will he do for an encore in his sophomore season? Wembanyama is a trendy pick to be an NBA All-Star, the preseason betting favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year, and if all goes according to plan, might just carry his San Antonio Spurs into the Western Conference playoff race.
Wembanyama is so freakishly talented that he feels capable of anything.

Carlos Sainz Jr. is enjoying a tremendous run of form as the 2024 Formula 1 season winds down. Sainz has secured six podiums this year, including a win in the Australian Grand Prix, and has a chance to follow his P2 in last week’s United States Grand Prix with another podium result having qualified in pole position for Sunday’s Mexico City Grand Prix.

Penn State will still need to dispatch the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday night, but next week’s game between the Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes is shaping up to be one of the biggest of the college football season to date, and Ohio State QB Will Howard couldn’t be more ready for it.
The Buckeyes got a bit of a scare from the Nebraska Cornhuskers and after the game, Howard, a native of Downingtown, Pennsylvania — just outside of Philadelphia — was asked about how he felt going into the game against the Nittany Lions.
