Thanks to a thrilling, 85-80 comeback win over Virginia last weekend, the UNC basketball team is right back where it best belongs: in the winning column.
North Carolina (16-4, 4-3 ACC) trailed by 16 in Charlottesville, but never wavered. The Tar Heels defended well in second-half action, shot the basketball efficiently and watched five guys reach double-figures.
UNC stays on the road Saturday, traveling to Atlanta for a 2 p.m. tip-off with Georgia Tech.

One of the saddest parts of the Los Angeles Rams‘ NFC title game loss was that it meant receiver Davante Adams wouldn’t get a chance to play in a Super Bowl.
Including 2025, Adams had lost all five conference title games he’d played in over his career, and jokingly referred to the Super Bowl as “mythical” before this loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford felt Adams pain after the loss, and told the “Lets Go Podcast” that he apologized to Adams for not getting him that opportunity to win a Super Bowl ring.

Florida moved past No. 8 Illinois, No. 9 Purdue and No. 10 Louisville on the BPI thanks to a 0.7 bump overall. Further broken down, the Gators now have a 9.9 offensive BPI, which ranks 15th in the country but reflects a significant 0.4-point jump. Defensively, Florida’s BPI also improved, from 10.3 (11th) to 10.6 (10th).

Liverpool set for major boost ahead of Newcastle United clash
Liverpool supporters could soon see a familiar figure back at the heart of their defence as Ibrahima Konate prepares to return from compassionate leave ahead of the weekend meeting with Newcastle United. The French centre back has spent the past week in France following the loss of his father, Hamady, a deeply personal blow that understandably kept him away from the last three Liverpool fixtures.
Those absences came during a testing spell.
