What an awesome display of skateboarding.
The 2024 Paris Olympics are already off to a thrilling start, and one of the most exciting events so far has been Men’s Street Skateboarding. A jam-packed group was headlined by arguably the greatest competitive skater ever trying to get his groove back, and also included a young American looking to build on a stellar showing in Tokyo, and the eventual champion from Japan. It was a fantastic show from start to finish.
Let’s start with the men’s finals.

Now that Jason Kelce has retired from the NFL, he has taken up rugby.
Well, not playing rugby — just watching.
On Sunday, the former Philadelphia Eagles center stopped by the U.S. women’s rugby team locker room after their win over Brazil at the Olympics. That’s when star player Ilona Maher took the opportunity to explain why Kelce should become the official Team USA women’s rugby superfan.
“Women’s water polo has Flavor Flav as their superfan,” Maher told him in a TikTok video. “You are a girl dad.

United States track and field star Noah Lyles is fully immersing himself in the Olympic experience by staying in the Olympic Village in Paris, but based on recent comments, he may be regretting that decision.
Lyles may not be the most popular athlete staying in the Olympic Village, but he’s certainly in the group of the most well-known athletes staying on campus, which results in him essentially being bombarded by other athletes and staffers at the Games.

The onslaught against Harrison Butker came fast and furious after he, you know, expressed his opinions on a variety of topics during a graduation speech in May.
Butker’s opinions on pride month, President Biden’s approval of abortions, and the role of women in the work force but also in the home, incensed a bunch of people.
And those incensed people got loud.
The local newspaper published an editorial calling for Butker’s release from the team.

Telling someone where your favorite baseball team plays can be a bit tricky.
Sure, if someone asked me where my favorite team played, I’d be like, “Boston, MA.” But if they followed that up by saying, “No crap, but where in the city? What’s it near?,” I’d have a harder time with that one.
I know it’s only a 10-minute drive from Mike’s Pastry in the North End of the city.
(Side note: do yourself a favor and grab a cannoli or slice of cheesecake from that place at least once in your life – your taste buds will thank you.

Team USA has a new breakout star in the Olympics in women’s rugby player Ilona Maher.
One of the best things about the Olympics is that a breakout star is born almost every time the global games begin. Every four years, the world is introduced to a star in a sport they may not have watched before.
For the United States, a star is being born in women’s rugby. Allow me to introduce you to Ilona Maher, US Women’s Rugby Sevens player. All that she does is simply put opposing rugby players in the freaking DIRT.
