Louisville’s Hailey Van Lith says that people wouldn’t be talking about the tense post-game handshake she shared with. Texas’ Sonya Morris because it happened after a women’s basketball game.
If you missed it, the exchange happened after Van Lith’s Cardinals defeated the Longhorns by a comfortable score of 73-51

I don’t know what was said here. But here is Hailey Van Lith going through the handshake line with Texas. Sonya Morris was first in line for the Longhorns to talk to Van Lith. pic.twitter.

The popular radio host blamed the ESPN commentator for the shift in today’s sports media landscape.
For better or for worse, Stephen A. Smith has had an indelible mark in the sports world for years, most notably in his daily appearances on talk shows on ESPN. But count Dan Le Batard, who worked for ESPN for a number of years, among those who aren’t convinced his impact has been positive.
In speaking on his South Beach Sessions show, Le Batard blamed ESPN’s Stephen A.

Kim Mulkey is an icon, and you’ll never convince me otherwise.
Her LSU Tigers beat Utah Friday to advance to the Elite 8 in the Women’s NCAA Tournament. But the real winner of the game was Mulkey’s outfit.
This 60-year-old legend fearlessly mixed plaid, floral and hot pink feathers and flaunted them proudly as if to dare you to challenge her on it.
Just look at this ‘fit.

No one should be surprised that Mulkey chose something extra flashy for the Sweet 16 showdown.

This was a terrible call.
You would think if someone landed on you in a basketball game and smooshed your face into the court that the refs wouldn’t punish you for having your face smooshed into the court, right?
Well, apparently you’d be wrong because that’s exactly what happened to San Diego State’s Matt Bradley during Friday night’s Sweet 16 battle with Alabama.
Bradley was diving for a loose ball when he was called for the most painful, and mind-boggling, foul of the men’s NCAA tournament.

Rick Barnes may have seen the future of Tennessee basketball Thursday night in Madison Square Garden in New York.
And it ain’t him.
After watching young Florida Atlantic coach Dusty May, 46, dismantle the larger, beefier, more highly recruited, more expensive (via NIL) Tennessee players with a significantly less talented and cheaper roster, Tennessee fans have to wonder what it would be like to have May coaching their team.
It sure would be a lot more fun.
No. 9 seed Florida International looked younger, faster and much more entertaining in beating the No.

Yeah, you can’t do that.
Alabama and San Diego State are currently battling for a spot in the Elite Eight. Every play in this Sweet 16 matchup is an important one and tensions are understandably high.
All of that makes what we saw happen on one play in the first half very easy to laugh at, because we’ve never seen something this before.
In case you missed it, Alabama guard Jahvon Quinerly was called for an excessive flagrant 1 foul after he appeared to pick up SDSU’s Nathan Mensah and put him on his back for a few seconds.

The former NBA big man didn’t mince words regarding Chalmers’s dissing of his former teammate.
Not that the NBA’s all-time leading scorer needs it, but a former teammate came to his defense in an epic rant.
Following recent comments made by Mario Chalmers that “NBA players have never feared Lebron James like they did Michael Jordan”, former Cavalier Tristian Thompson put Chalmers on blast.
The 11-year NBA veteran was set off by the comments, ripping the former Heat point guard in an explosive tirade on The Draymond Green Show.

Montreal Canadiens forward Mike Hoffman has quite the battle scar on his chin, and it has him wondering how the man who gave it to him — Boston Bruins A.J. Greer — was only dealt a one-game suspension.
When you see his face, you’ll think it’s a fair question,
It happened on Thursday night just before a neutral zone faceoff. Hoffman jabbed at Greer with his stick, only for the Bruin to deliver a quick cross-check straight to the chops.
The puck never even left the linesman’s hand.

Kansas State’s Markquis Nowell had himself a night against the Michigan State Spartans, and he did it all in front of NBA legendr Isaiah Thomas.
He knew it too because apparently, the two were talking it up for most of the night.
Nowell had one of the greatest individual performances in NCAA tournament history on Thursday night. He dropped 20 points and 19 assists to help the Wildcats to a thrilling Sweet 16 win over the Spartans.
After the game, Thomas made a shoutout on Twitter to Nowell.

They gon be mad that they have to give em a chance at the next level.
