A transgender athlete has applied to join a semi-professional women’s basketball league in Australia and former NBA player Andrew Bogut is infuriated by the idea. The Aussie called on girl dads to stand up and speak out against biological men competing against women in sports.
Bogut jumped on Twitter to share his opinion about the situation asking “are you ok with sacrificing the sanctity of Female Sport in the name of ‘inclusion?’

Word is @NBL1 South Women will have a biological Male playing this upcoming season.

New York is in negotiations with one of Aaron Rodgers’s top targets.
The Jets still await Aaron Rodgers’s official decision on his football future. Even so, the team is nearing a move that should make him more comfortable in his new offense, should he make the move to New York.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets are “actively working” to sign Packers free agent wide receiver Allen Lazard. The veteran wide receiver is negotiating with another team as well, he says.

Patrick Beverley thinks two things are to blame for Ja Morant’s issues off the court:
Violent rap music and bad parenting.
The Memphis Grizzlies superstar has had multiple issues off the court allegedly involving guns. Most notably, he flashed a pistol while on a livestream in a Colorado strip club. Currently, he’s away from the team and in counseling. There is no timetable for his return.
Beverley didn’t mince words when analyzing how he sees the troubling situation.
Ja Morant has had multiple off the court issues.

The winners on the first day of NFL free agency’s negotiation period? No, not quarterbacks although they got most of the headlines with Jimmy Garoppolo, Sam Darnold and Mike White signing while Aaron Rodgers continued to ponder his future.
It was actually the quarterbacks of the defense.
The linebackers. And inside and off-ball linebackers in particular.
They cleaned up. And some gave teams solid opportunities to add value talent.
Consider these linebackers:

If your program didn’t make this year’s NCAA tournament, it likely would in one of these debated 80-team or 96-team formats.
The men’s NCAA tournament field of 68 is out, and the march to Houston for the Final Four begins Tuesday with the First Four in Dayton. But in what is a transformational time in college athletics, conference commissioners, athletic directors and coaches have ignited dialogue in recent months about significant changes to March Madness. The biggest one discussed: expanding the NCAA tournament field.

Jay Wright coached Villanova to the Final Four last season and is just a handful of seasons removed from leading the Wildcats to a national title, but the 61-year-old doesn’t miss coaching, at least not yet.
While Wright isn’t manning the baseline anymore, he’s still entrenched in college basketball as an analyst for CBS. He’s set to be an in-studio analyst throughout March Madness all the way up to the Final Four and he’s happy about being in a studio not having to stress while coaching.

No one looks like Mike Trout on a baseball field. No one hits like him, either. And he’s showing fans and teammates alike why at the World Baseball Classic.
PHOENIX—One thousand and fifty-three players have appeared in a major league postseason game over the past eight years. The best player in baseball is not among them.
Mike Trout is Olivier without a stage, Tiger without a major, Spielberg without an audience. Magnificence without an echo.
The World Baseball Classic does not reverberate with history quite like the floorboards of Carnegie Hall. It is not the World Series.

Jameis Winston isn’t going anywhere.
There was some speculation going into the offseason that Winston’s time with the Saints was over, and a report that generated a lot of attention predicted that was going to be the case.
However, Winston always maintained he was preparing as he was still a member of the franchise, and to his credit, he turned out to be correct.
The Florida State Heisman winner has agreed to a new one-year deal worth up to $8 million to backup Derek Carr.

It’s a 1-year deal for Jameis Winston worth up to $8M, source said.

Ja Morant has missed the past five games for the Memphis Grizzlies following his gun incident on Instagram Live wedged between other troubling reports. It was reported on Monday that the Grizzlies’ star has entered a counseling program in Florida signaling that Morant will be away from the court for the foreseeable future.
Memphis has just 15 games left in the regular season before beginning its playoff push and the question on the minds of NBA fans is whether or Morant will play again this season.
