Los Angeles Angeles superstar Shohei Ohtani had an absurd game against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, but he still left their fans wanting more.
Ohtani pitched 7 innings and managed to reach base 5 time. He also tallied 3 RBIs in the Angels’ 9-5 win over the Orioles. According to the Associated Press, that performance made Ohtani the first pitcher to reach base 5 times in a game he started since Yankee Mel Stottlemyre did it in 1964.
Better still, Ohtani nearly hit for the cycle. He went 4-for-5 in 6 plate appearances with a single, triple, and this 456-foot 3-run homer.

After the Philadelphia 76ers were embarrassed in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals by the Boston Celtics, Doc Rivers explained his plans to return to Philadelphia’s bench next season.
Fast-forward less than 48 hours, and Rivers is unemployed.
The Sixers dismissed Rivers on Tuesday morning after what was his third season in Philadelphia. The 61-year-old led Philly to the Eastern Conference semifinals in each of his three seasons but failed to take the franchise to that next level.
Doc Rivers has been fired by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Late last month in Japan, Kazuchika Okada issued his own version of the words, “Goodbye and good night!” That, of course, is a signature phrase spoken by longtime rival Kenny Omega.
Naturally, when Okada used his rival’s catchphrase, it caught Omega’s ear.
“Absolutely it did,” says Omega. “I checked my text messages right away to see if there was something I wasn’t privy to.”
The history between Omega and Okada is rich. From 2015 to ’18, they shared the ring on 66 different occasions.

Small markets are the future of hockey, not its downfall.
Then there were four. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are down to the last remaining teams, with the Eastern and Western Conference Finals starting on Thursday. It also leaves us with the four warmest climate teams in NHL history, with the Carolina Hurricanes and Raleigh’s six inches of average yearly snowfall being the most “winterly” team left — which is hilarious in its own right.
Carolina, Dallas, Florida, and Las Vegas absolutely earned their right to be here.

The start of ACC meetings in Florida on Monday presented the first opportunity for all members to sit with each other as reports emerged about seven schools looking for a way out. If the ACC was looking to make some noise this Spring, I’d say the mission was accomplished.
It’s been reported in the past that a number of schools were looking for a way to get out of the ACC’s grant of rights deal. This current deal, that doesn’t end until 2036, has been a hot topic over the past several months.

Former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell and former Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict have a long history linked to Burfict’s tackle on Bell in 2015 that left the running back with a torn MCL.
Bell has not forgotten about the play that injured him involving Burfict, who was linked to various other plays in his career that led many to characterize him as a dirty player. Now, Bell wants to box Burfict to settle old scores.
“There is, it’s just that this person is not a boxer,” Bell said, after being asked if there was anyone he wanted to fight on the Misfits Boxing podcast.

Morant has been at the center of multiple incidents involving violence and/or firearms. The video that surfaced over the weekend of him flashing a gun in a car, is just the latest.
However, rapper Blocboy JB said Morant did nothing wrong.
